PIS, SANGLI QUALIFIED FOR HARVARD MUN, BOSTON,USA - 2018

Podar International School Sangli has been selected for Harvard MUN, Boston 2018. PIS Sangli is among those qualified 25 Indian schools out of 155 who participated at HMUN India program held at Convention Centre, Hyderabad in August 2017. Harvard Model United Nations is a four-day international relations simulation for high school students held annually in downtown Boston. The sixty-fifth session of Harvard Model United Nations will be held from Thursday, January 25, to Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Boston's famous Back Bay neighbourhood. Come January, more than 3,300 high school delegates and their faculty advisors will gather to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

HMUN 2018 builds upon decades of experience. In 1927, Harvard held its first annual model League of Nations, followed by the first model United Nations conference in 1953.True to the spirit of the United Nations, founded in 1945, HMUN strives to foster a constructive forum for open dialogue on complex global issues, including international peace and security and economic and social progress. HMUN stresses the in-depth examination and resolution of pressing issues, emphasizing process over product.

Participating team will also get an opportunity to visit UN headquarters and to have an interactive session with UN Diplomat on Policy Making. ​During their visit to Harvard University​ they will have inter​active session with Harvard students.
