TECHNO WHIZ

Technology is an integral part of our world and especially our children are growing up surrounded by, immersed in and exposed to all kinds of technology gadgets. At Podar Jumbo Kids we guide parents not to expose very young babies to technology gadgets as their senses are still being developed and require nurturing with more hands on connections to the world around them. It is safe to start a ‘technology diet’ for children of 3 years of age and so at Podar Jumbo Kids we are proud to announce the launch of our Techno-Whiz Kids program. This program is a well researched and developmentally planned program that will expose children to various gadgets like computers and/or tablets.

Children can build a variety of skills while exploring the functions of a classroom computer. We thoughtfully consider the range of computer activities available to the children considering children’s interests, developmental stage, and abilities when planning appropriate computer activity options for each age level. As children learn to use the computer as a tool for painting, exploring, listening, storytelling, and their teachers will encourage them to combine use of this tool with other means of expression. Thus helping children make connections between computer activities and other learning centers.

Children will explore the computer/tablets, look at and name the parts of a computer/tablet, and discuss how it works. The teacher will also involve children in developing rules and guidelines for using the computer/tablet. After the initial exploration stage children will be involved in reading, math, color and shape games that will help them use thinking skills, logic, and memory and thus hone all round skills.
