Makara Sankranthi - 2023
The festival of Makar Sankranti marks the beginning of the harvest season when new crops are worshipped and shared with delight. Sankranti marks the arrival of spring, the joyful season. This festival is celebrated in every state of India. As we know that India has a very vast culture so here people celebrate this particular festival in different ways. This variation in celebration gave it many names in particular states for example Lohri in Punjab, Pongal in Tamil Nadu and Makar Sankranti in Maharashtra and Karnataka, Magha Saaji in Himachal Pradesh, Poush sankranti in West Bengal, Ghughuti/ Uttarayani in Uttarakhand etc. Podar Jumbo Kids celebrated this festival, with the theme as “Spreading Light, Goodness, and Cheer.”

An event displaying the routine of the day and its importance with relevance to the development of the child pertaining to the seven areas of development, Play date with parents. This gave an insight to the parents as to how various activities are conducted at the school.
Christmas Celebration - 2022
At Podar Jumbo Kids, the Christmas celebration was based on the unique theme- “Christmas season is lots of fun, spread joy with everyone”. There was lots of fun, dance and games for children to enjoy. It was that time of the year when children eagerly awaited Santa’s arrival and looked forward to merry making and some fun and frolic activities.

Children's Day Celebration - 2022
Children's Day is celebrated across India on 14th November to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. As a tribute, children's day is celebrated on the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday. So we had a unique party to celebrate children’s day, “Let’s play to make the way”.
Sports Day Celebration 2022-2023
A sports day helps children develop an interest in different sports which nurtures development. So this year, our theme for the sports day is “JUMBO ON WHEELS.” “JUMBO ON WHEELS”- a theme chosen to give our children a better understanding of different modes of transport using different activities and races. Children will be exposed to learn all about modes of transport through various activities. This will be done in order to develop interest in different skills like persistence, team spirit, etc. This sports day, the activities focus on using sports as a means to not only enhance the physical but also the cognitive and social development of the children.
Un-Halloween Celebration - 2022

During our childhood, most of us were afraid of something or the other. Some of the most common fears are fear of the dark, fear of creepy crawlies, bats, shadows, and imaginary things etc. At Podar Jumbo Kids, we want to provide our children the opportunity to understand these fears in a safe environment. Podar Jumbo Kids provided this wonderful opportunity to our children at our celebration - Un-Halloween - Overcoming Our Fears.

When children are given the opportunity to confront their fears that they have, they are able to see things in a new perspective. When we face our fears and overcome them, we feel stronger, happier, and more capable of appreciating the excitement of the moment.

Diwali Mela - 2022
In Indian culture festivals are traditionally celebrated to instil a sense of family, togetherness, culture and brotherhood. Podar Jumbo Kids brings to you the annual Diwali Mela that will showcase some activities that are an integral part of the festival, but with a much required new emphasis through different activities.
Navratri Celebration - 2022
At Podar Jumbo Kids Navratri is celebrated in the form of imparting the Navratnas or the nine jewels as, ‘Navratna – The Nine Intelligences’ which is explained and instilled in the form of nine Intelligences. During our Navratri celebration, children participated in various activities that were designed to create this integrated growth followed by our unique Pencil Ceremony. Since our inception we have organised a Pencil Ceremony for children in which we gift them a decorated pencil and show them a puppet show about Pencil and the other related stationery that children will use like a sharpener, eraser, scissors etc.
Hindi Diwas Celebration - 2022
Hindi Diwas or National Hindi Day is celebrated every year on September 14 to mark the adaptation of Hindi (written in Devanagari script) as the official language by the Constituent Assembly on September 14, 1949. Podar Jumbo Kids celebrated Hindi Diwas as' Aao Hindi bole Jumbo ke sang ’to make our children aware of the importance of the Hindi language. It was a joyful Hindi Diwas celebration and children learnt Hindi by playing games and doing various activities.
Onam Celebration - 2022
Onam was celebrated with the theme “Together everyone achieves more”. Ours is a culturally varied country. Happiness is disseminated when we, as Indians, get together, help each other, and establish comradeship. We will continue to build on this incredible history. At Podar Jumbo Kids, we aim to teach our children the strength in unity and how it is important to respect and learn from each other and grow together and the importance of teamwork and the spirit of uniting together as they rowed their boat together in harmony with each other. All in all, the day and its activities taught the children that when we are together, we achieve more.
Janmashtami Celebration - 2022
Janmashtami is one such festival celebrated almost in all parts of India. Our children learnt the importance of milk and milk products in making us healthy during the Janmashtami celebration. During the event celebration children had fun playing various games and other activities related to milk and milk products, according to their respective levels. Children were taught about the importance of calcium in their diet and the variety of milk products available in the market. The celebration ended with a Yummy Milk Song.
Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration - 2022
This year, Podar Jumbo Kids celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi as, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Ganpati Bappa is a Superstar"- Let’s observe, listen and think to be smarter together like Bappa and be a superstar.
Independence Day Celebration - 2022
Grandparents are the generation that our children must learn from…learn values; learn resilience…as they play a very pivotal role in instilling patriotism and Atmanirbharta. Thus, Independence Day was celebrated as Grandparents Day and grandparents were invited along with their grandchildren for the celebration on 15th August at Podar Jumbo Kids. This Independence Day we wanted to inspire children by showcasing the many achievements of India in the last 75 years, which would infuse feelings of pride in our children. We did this with various activities like quiz, games, art and craft, music, and movement for children, parents and grandparents.
Rakshabandhan Celebration - 2022
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with a unique theme “Tie a rakhi for relationship and ‘tie’ a bond with nature too”. Through this celebration, children are made aware of their relation (Bandhan) with nature and their need to protect it (Raksha). This is so relevant in today’s world when we are dealing with a shortage of oxygen to breathe owing to the Covid-19 virus. This mandates that awareness is created and instilled the practice of growing plants and trees in children for a healthy tomorrow on planet Earth.
International Mud day celebration - 2022

International Mud day 2022-23: Mud play is one of the most amazing open ended nature play activity for children, that never gets old (even for older children like us).

There is research as to why kids have an inbuilt need to play in mud. There is evidence suggesting that mud play is a basic biological need, and this type of play has many physical, psychological and emotional benefits for children and here are the reasons.

International Yoga Day - 2022
International Yoga Day was celebrated as "Yoga for humanity" at Podar Jumbo Kids. Here are some pictures of our children twisting, twirling, stretching, holding etc to perform different Yoga asana for relaxation, rejuvenation and to calm the body and mind.
Father's Day Celebration - 2022
Father's day was celebrated with a Master Chef event themed "Papa banao Dadi/Nani ki recipe" where the children spent quality time with their family by cooking their favourite dishes.
Red Day Celebration - 2022
Red day was celebrated in Nursery where children came in red coloured clothes with a red coloured object. They saw the environment around them through the red lens given by the teacher.
Session on Awareness from Kidnapping - 2022
As adults we cannot always be around our children every time and hence they need to be self equipped to protect them. At Podar Jumbo Kids, children are shown safety videos such as kidnapping video, good touch bad touch, Pappu - the school bus safety rules etc so that the children are able to distinguish between right and wrong behaviours and ask for help when in trouble.
PJK - Parent Orientation Day - 2022
Parent Induction Program was conducted with the theme "Living with the new N.O.R.M.A.L" in the school physically for parents. The programme stressed on the curriculum , importance of routine, safety protocols, rituals and policies followed at the school. Newly introduced programs such as Jumbo Ladder Program and coding program were also briefed during the programme.
Christmas Celebration - 2021
It’s a joy for us to see their children happy, healthy, and surrounded by love. Children have the power to inject happiness into gloomy days. We have the duty to nurture their happiness, feed their hopes, and unleash their creative potential. They count on us as much as we count on them. Hence, this year at Podar Jumbo Kids the Christmas celebration is based on the unique theme- “The best way to see Christmas is through the eyes of a child”. There was lots of fun, dance and activities for children to enjoy. Let’s cheer as Christmas is here and give children a rainbow of hopes for a better upcoming new year.
Learning through play - 2021
“Play is the work of childhood” - said Jean Piaget. Play helps children develop holistically. Unstructured play as in block play or flower rings helps in strengthening and increasing the neural connections in brain. It also enhances the creativity in children.
Kartavya Divas - 2020
Kartavya simply means duty dedication and determination .In Podar Jumbo Kids we take January month as Kartavya month (How can I keep myself safe and also help others).This year we celebrated this event on 11.01.2020 as an indoor event with kids and parents. There were lots of activities like puzzles, word scramble, match the sign with the meaning, traffic safety etc. all related to traffic and safety on roads.
Sports Day Celebration 'Jumbo on Wheels' 2019-2020
Annual Sports Meet 2019 with the theme Jumbo on Wheels gave an opportunity to the children to understand the various modes of transport through different races. The event also witnessed the participation of parents and grandparents. The Principal Mr. Girish Kumar and Chief Guest Dr. John Pinto handed over certificate of participation to all the children.
Unhalloween Celebration - 2019
Fear of darkness can cause a lot of trauma in children which can have a lifelong impact on the child. Hence, it’s very important to let children meet their fears, face and overcome them. International Mud Day Celebration - 2019
Young children are always curious about nature. However, it is a sad reality of today that children are more and more disconnected with mother nature. This lack of interaction with nature has made children nowadays fail to benefit from such a major learning opportunity. “Mummy Aur Papa ko Chipko” is an important celebration at Podar Jumbo Kids as we attempt to connect children and adults through the Earth, by playing in the mud. There is a lot of research which states that coming into contact with a specific amount of bacteria in mud is good for us, as it helps to strengthen our immunity, as opposed to living in a sterile environment, which makes our bodies more susceptible to falling ill.

Bye Bye Kindergarten, Hello Primary 2018-2019
Transitions are always stressful whether it is the transition from the womb to the world or from the mother’s arms to preschool and then from preschool to primary school. If the transition from preschool to Primary goes ignored then it can lead to learning issues and stress about school and dislike for school activities like writing etc. It does not help young children if during this phase we have only one advice to give, ‘you are a big/girl now, you are in big school so no more crying’. Jumbo Kids has designed a Unique Farewell Party for Sr.KG Kids called Bye Bye Kindergarten – Hello Primary. This Event will help Parents, Teachers and Kids understand and adjust to the big change.

Children listened to a story on milk and milk products, ‘Milk and Milk Products make us Healthy’. Our children had fun playing various related games, according to their respective levels. On this occasion, a dental check up for the children was also conducted.

Mud Day Celebration 2018-2019
As educators, it is our constant endeavour to bring out the best in our children. A very important factor for a child’s psychological, social and intellectual growth is his/her closeness to the father / important male figure and the time spent with him. However, the results of a survey undertaken by us showed that a number of ‘Papas’ today do not spend enough time with their children. This led us, at Podar Jumbo Kids to take an initiative called ‘Papa Ko Chipko- Bonding Together’, a fun-filled evening where the children will experience and enjoy quality time with their ‘Papa’, doing various activities.

Kidslympic - Annual Sports Meet 2016-2017
Kidslympic will expose children to the fascinating world of sports through different games and relay races and children will experience it as part of the Sports Day celebrations. Children are socially ready to compete only by the age of 6 years and so in our “Kidslympic” we will have no first, second, third prizes. At our sports day celebration, every child is a winner and receives a certificate of participation. After all, you will agree that the only race that our kids need to be in is the human race! We have races for parents and teachers too so be ready for some fun and frolic with our little children.
