Art Exhibition 'Art in Focus - A Mega' - 2024
"Let the strokes of creativity guide your imagination as you explore art exhibitions. Discover the world of artistic expression and creativity. Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion". "ART IN FOCUS-A MEGA, ART EXHIBITION" It was inaugurated by the hands of the renowned Artist Mr Bijay Biswal, an artist with National and International acclaim. The Annual Exhibition proudly displayed the artistic talent of the students in the Seven Elements of Art:Line, Colour, Shape, Form, Space, Texture and Value. The Exhibition was abuzz with excitement and fervor as it showcased the handicrafts of the students in their myriad hues. The Art teachers Mr Kameshwar Patle and Ms Priya Tiwari were honoured with certificates for their dedication.

The main aim of Podar Volunteer Program is to encourage students to give back to their communities. It instills in students the idea that they can make the world a better place. Volunteer opportunities for Children teach important social emotional skills such as compassion, social awareness , relationship skills, leadership and more. It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of Grade IX painted Walls of Gorewada International Zoological Park spreading awareness towards the environment and animals.
Podar Volunteer Program 'Visit to Animal Rescue Centre - Grade 7 and 8' - 2024
The main aim of Podar Volunteer Program is to encourage students to give back to their communities. It instills in students the idea that they can make the world a better place. Volunteer opportunities for Children teach important social emotional skills such as compassion, social awareness , relationship skills, leadership and more. It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of grade VII-VIII visited Animal Rescue centre where they spent time and understood the condition of the animals, about their treatment and care.
Podar Volunteer Program 'DONATION DRIVE at Padhe Hum Padaye Hum - Grade 5 and 6' - 2024
The main aim of Podar Volunteer Program is to encourage students to give back to their communities. it instills in students the idea that they can make the world a better place. Volunteer opportunities for Children teach important social emotional skills such as compassion, social awareness , relationship skills, leadership and more. It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of grade V-VI brought and donated stationery items such as notebooks,pencils ,crayons,etc for the children in need. FIKR Foundation-"Padhe Hum Padhaye Hum" is an organization who is Empowering India by facilitating Quality education specifically to marginalized and deprived Children of India.

The main aim of Podar Volunteer Program is to encourage students to give back to their communities. it instills in students the idea that they can make the world a better place. Volunteer opportunities for Children teach important social emotional skills such as compassion, social awareness , relationship skills, leadership and more. It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of grade III-IV prepared beautiful Thank you Cards for the Police Officials for their relentless work in ensuring our Peace and Security. Their dedication is deeply valued.

It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of grade II brought Saplings and planted at K T nagar Park to create an awareness and spread the message of saving our planet- Protecting our environment is the need of the hour-To help nature and mother earth to get it's natural beauty and components back.

The main aim of Podar Volunteer Program is to encourage students to give back to their communities. it instills in students the idea that they can make the world a better place. Volunteer opportunities for Children teach important social emotional skills such as compassion, social awareness , relationship skills, leadership and more. It provides them with a sense of purpose and helps them strengthen their social emotional core. The students of grade I brought their favorite Toys and donated it to the underprivileged kids so that they also get a chance to enjoy something it would have never been to them.
Parivartan Drive - 2024
"A DRIVE FOR CHANGE AND ACTION" The Parivartan Drive is an initiative by the students of Podar Education Network to generate a community awareness campaign on ' Be The Change to Bring The Change'. The students worked to spread awareness about Self Love, Kindness, Acceptance and Seeking Support. The students attempted to educate people that prioritising' Self' are 'Not being Selfish'. Taking care of oneself is as important as helping others to take care of themselves. The students made Placards, Posters and Slogans and took opinion polls for this campaign. A Walkathon was carried at Kalmeshwar to spread awareness.
Annual Day Celebration 'Be the Change' 2023-2024

The event was woven around the theme ' Be The Change', a journey to unveil the power within. The function was presided by Chief Guest Dr Vedaprakash Mishra Pro- Chancellor, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, Mr Yogesh Mhatre General Manager Nagpur Hub, Mr S N Sahu Principal PIS Besa and Mr M B Choubey Principal PIS Bhandara. The program was filled with vibrancy and life being propelled into magnificent and reverberating celebrations.

Entailing the formal welcome, the progressive Annual Report was presented by the Principal Ms Lucky Sadrani. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest eulogized the dedication and hard work of the teachers and stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves.

The program was an amalgamation of various hues benefiting the theme Wondrously.

A prize distribution ceremony was held for those students who excelled in Academics, Regularity and Extra curricular activities. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervor.

3D Showcase 'Grade V-VIII' 2023-24
"Don't Limit your Challenges. Challenge your Limits". Mr Abhijeet Kshirsagar Assistant Professor from Hislop College (Department of Electronics) ,Mr Prashant Dandekar, Director Pioneer CAD and Design Solution Pvt Ltd and Mr Ajay Raut STEM Faculty were the judges for 3 D Competition today. The students participated in a 3D Design and Print Challenge using TinkerCAD software. They made models of Cable Holder, Bookends, Smartphone Stand and Desk Organiser. The models were judged on Design Creativity, Design functionality, use of appropriate dimensions and proportions, Printability and suitability for the given 3D printer.

May the spirit of democracy strengthen our bonds and lead us to a brighter future. Dr Chaitanya Shembekar, Chairman and MD of Omega Hospitals Private Limited Nagpur was the chief guest of the function today.

In his motivational speech, he gave three pieces of advice to students i. e Study hard, Fitness mantra and Skill development. He quoted," We are what we repeatedly do. excellence, then, is not an act but a habit".

The program was followed by Patriotic song, Patriotic Speeches, skit on Women empowerment, Quiz for parents and Dances.

Expert Speak 'A Talk with a Community Hero' - 2024

Mr Tanveer Mirza, a Rurban Transformer, A Social Entrepreneur ESG Guide, Capacities builder, Efficient water Management Expert, Sustainability Strategist, Advocate for Green Energy...President of "Yashodhara "NGO and " Nagpur Hero Award' by TOI has enlightened students about his noble work which he has done in various fields.

This session helped students to recognize heroes within the community. The students understood that heroes are everyday people who face extraordinary challenges and overcome them. Most real heroes are not people of great renown. Rather they live near us and by performing small acts , they win our admiration Since children imitate what they see and hear, it is important to point out to them what actions merit honour and which individuals deserve admiration.

The School wide theme MYTH BUSTERS culminated in Myths and Legends - Believe it or Not! The module aimed at educating students on the concept of Myths and Legends, understanding the relevance of myths and legends in exploring the history, traditions, beliefs and customs of various communities and countries across the world. The characters in the mythical and legendary stories are unique and convey a message.

p<>Integrated English - Mythbusters. Visit to a "Sanskritik Kendra -Ramayana Cultural Center "at Koradi as a part of curriculum - A cultural Centre that aims to enrich future generations of India. It has a "Ramayana Darshan Hall", a unique exhibition complex where the entire story of Lord Rama is narrated through captivating murals and oil paintings. The paintings portray significant episodes from the Ramayana, from the birth of Sri Rama to his glorious coronation. It also has "Bharat Mata Sadanam", a tribute to our valiant freedom fighters and defense personnel, designed to instill a deep sense of patriotism. There are 115 paintings depicting the heroic struggles of freedom fighters from 1857 to 1947. It also showcases 21 Paramvir Chakra Awardees and 14 paintings that vividly depict various pivotal events from India's freedom struggle, each accompanied by explanatory write ups.

Mr Atul Vasant Guru popularly known as "Kille Guru", member of "Gad Sanvardhan Samiti", Maharashtra State. Created replica of 25 Forts of Maharashtra at Nagpur Killa Mahotsav, 32 small Forts replica at Reshimbagh Nagpur, Conducted many workshops on Killa. He actively participated in Gad Kille Swachchata Mohim of Maharashtra State and Central Govt.
House Competition 'The Wall of Myths' - 2023

7th ANNUAL SPORTS MEET - "SPORTACULOUS MEET"

Dr Purushottam Choudhary, President of Nagpur Judo Association, Director of Nagpur Roti Bank and Vice President of Maharashtra Judo Association consented to be the Chief Guest of the function and Mr Yogesh Mhatre General Manager Nagpur Hub was the Guest of Honour. The Meet began with Torch Run followed by March Past. An Opening Dance, Martial Art demo, Mass PT, Yoga, Stick Drill, Dumb bells Drill, Hula Hoop Drill, Lazium, Pom Pom Drill and Fun Races were the attraction of the event. The school also conducted few Races for Parents. Medal Distribution of Fun Races and various Inter house matches like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Kabbadi, Kho kho, Lagori, Tug of War, Athletics, Relay and Shot put were held.

TCM was scheduled today in presence of Representative from RTO Dept, Police Dept, EEO Office, Bus Contractor, PTA Members, Regional Transport Manager and the Principal.
Bus Evacuation Drill - 2023
Prepare and Prevent instead of repair and repent. "BUS EVACUATION DRILL" It was held to make the students understand what kind of situation they might face, about Multiple Emergency Exit points and Safe exit from the bus.
Mock Fire Drill - 2023
Fire destruction is one man's job. Fire prevention is everybody's job. Mock Fire Drill was conducted today for the entire school. The students were given information about the basic fire equipments, fire hydrant, fire alarm and evacuation process.

The Head Boy of the School Mas. Raunak Sharma, Head Girl Ms Aiemen Khan,Vice Head Boy Mas. Krishnand Kumar ,Vice Head Girl Ms Janhvi Langde and Newly Student Council Members took oath and were given Sash and badges by the Chief Guest Mrs Madhvi Mardikar ma'am and the Principal Ms Lucky Sadrani ma'am.

The ceremony began with the Lighting of Lamp followed by pinning the badges and taking Oath.

The program was conducted by Ms Raavi Chopde of Grade IX and Vote of thanks was proposed by Abdhija Santra of Grade IX.

Theme - Tech It Up. A World of Gadgets and Gizmos. A special assembly was conducted to honour the accomplishments of Indian Scientists, Physicist, Researchers ,Technologists and many others in the areas of Science and Technology. This day is to educate Indian's of the Country's technical achievements.
Guru Purnima Celebration - 2023
Guru Purnima, a festival celebrated in India is a day to honour and pay respect to teachers and mentors. It falls on the full moon day. On this day people express their gratitude and offer prayers to their mentors. A skit was presented by students to mark the occasion of Guru Purnima.
International Yoga Day Celebration - 2023
Yoga is a symbol of Universal aspiration for Health and Well being. It is a health assurance on Zero Budget." The Principal , Teaching staff and the Admin staff took active participation in Yoga session conducted by PTI Ms Vinisha Nitnavare to mark the occasion of International Yoga Day. Yoga improves strength, balance and inflexibility. It improves our posture and keeps our joints healthy. It also reduces stress.

Tech-It-Up-A World of Gadgets and Gizmos. "Lotus Electronics" This field trip was organised to make the children understand that there is so much technology in the world today that we don't even realize how much a part of our lives it is. In current times, people depend heavily on technology. Technology is all around us, from our smartphones, ipdas, smart watch and televisions. Students were taken on a tour to the world of gadgets and gizmos and into the future of technology.
Expert talk with Medical Lab Technologist - 2023
"Tech-It-Up! A World of Gadgets and Gizmos." To extend the exposure, the school organized face to face interactive session with a Medical Lab Technologist Mr Satish Chedge from Saoner. . How new technology has helped in conducting medical test, about new emerging technologies, current technologies in pathology, process of blood test etc were the questions asked by the students of grade V and VI.

Parivartan Drive 'Eco warriors - A Sustainable you and I'
The Parivartan Drive is an initiative taken by the Students of Podar Education Network. It aims to create awareness of the impact of clothing on the environment.The fashion industry is one of the industries that contribute immensely to environmental waste.The theme for the year revolves around clothing and it's impact in the environment. The drive urged students to rethink before purchasing clothes because buying too many clothes can cause a detrimental cost to the environment. The students participated in various activities like Walkathon, Take a Pledge, Social Media Campaign and acted as agents of change.

Field Trip - "Visit to Sri Bhagirath Textiles Ltd Mohali". Under the ongoing theme Pleat by Pleat, to get hands on experience in spinning, weaving and Knitting, the students visited Bhagirath Textiles where they could see the functioning .The module aims to introduce the fabric present around us in different ways.

Experiences - Meet a Fashion Designer. The students got an opportunity to interact with Ms Nidhi Gandhi who is a Handloom revivalist, Fashion Designer, Founder and CEO of Studio N, CEO of Gandhi Handlooms, Director at A K Gandhi TVS and also works on various verticals. Her company specializes in customised and mass manufacturing of Handloom textiles and apparels. She was awarded by former Maharashtra CM Shri Devendra Fadanvis for her contribution in handloom Industry. She has designed outfits for beauty Pageants like Femina Miss India, Mrs India, Mrs India Universe, Indian International Jewellery etc. Other than being a professional entrepreneur, she is member of various social organization and NGOs.

Podar International School Katol Road Nagpur celebrated its 6th Annual Day Function on 28th Jan 2023. The theme of the Annual Function this year was Navras.

Dr Shiney Chib, Director (YCCA) was the Chief Guest for the Function and Mr S N Sahu Principal PIS Besa, Mr B Choubey Principal PIS Bhandara, Mr Mahendra Jagdale Principal PIS Gondia, Mrs Medha Nair Principal PIS Wardha, Mrs Manisha Sangar Principal PIS Amravati 2 were the Guests of honour who graced the occasion with their presence.

The Board Toppers of the academic 2019-20,2020-21and 2021-22 and Subject Toppers were felicitated with a Trophy.

The Annual Function was well planned and executed under the guidance of Principal Ms Lucky Sadrani.

Special Assembly:Heroes who are Reviving India's Heritage Textiles. Ms Suriya Hassan Bose who is single handedly responsible for the revival of many forgotten weaves.She is also popularly known as Suriya Aapa. Suriya Hassan Bose, originally from Etawah Uttar Pradesh, married to Subhash Chandra Bose's nephew Aurobindo Bose. Her weaving focuses on the revival of Persian brocades, specifically Masru, Himroo, Jamavar and Paithani. The students got to know in detail about the textiles.
Christmas Celebration - 2022
Prayer is a surge of the heart. It brings us closer to GOD. Christmas hymns filled with devotion to praise our saviour, our Lord. To celebrate the Christmas day the members of Portal Ministry performed Carols and songs to spread the happiness all around.

A Showcase of the Indian World of POETRY This event aimed to provide platform for the students to showcase their learning and insight gained through the module. The students presented the works of Indian Poets. Such Poetry festivals serve as an ideal opportunity to expose the students to the world of poems.It aims to inspire the students to develop an interest in poetry. The students enacted as Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Harivanshrai Bachchan, Gulzar etc. Poetry Slam was organised which gave an opportunity to parents to recite poem of their choice.

The students understood the contribution of Harivanshrai Bachchan to Hindi Literature and got inspired to read and know more about his literary works and those of other Indian images. Mast. Saurabh Jain of grade XI enacted as Shri Harivanshrai Bachchan.

An Air Show inclusive of Static and aerial display by Indian Air Force was held at HQ MC,Vayusena Nagar. This show not only gave them real glimpses of IAF but also exposed them to the first hand knowledge about aircraft and other inventories of IAF including armament/ missiles etc. Thank you IAF for this wonderful opportunity.
Third Mock Fire Drill - 2022
"Less fire safety, more risk... More Fire safety, no risk..." A mock Fire drill was conducted today to train the children for emergency evacuation of the building in case if it catches Fire. Such trainings are the need of the hour. The students were made aware of the different types of Fire extinguishers, it's uses and Fire equipments.

The students got an opportunity to have face to face interaction with the famous Poet, Writer and a Journalist Mrs Sunita Zade, awarded with Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Award, Savitribai Phule Award, Padmagandha Pratishthan Best Literature Award, Indumati Shewade National Literacy Award, Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh Best Literature Award etc etc. The students asked various questions and learnt about the art of poetry.

Culminating Event - "The Sci Hi Museum"

The culminating event was organised in the school to focus on presenting various discoveries/ excavation/monuments with a scientific element in it and the history behind it. The event helped students to learn about archaeology and examine historical facts in the most interesting ways possible.

The students made Models, Monuments, Artifacts, major discoveries and inventions, Historical figures, Tools, Photo booth, Games stalls like archaeological dig, Coin designing, The pottery village, Pictographs, archaeological snacks, ancient tools etc. Role play by grade 1 and 2 students who dressed up as Archaeologist and Historian was the major attraction.

It was a wonderful way of reaching out to parents to experience some fun archaeological themed activities.

Thematic Week 'Culminating Event - My School' - 2022
My School culminated with the event 'Let's Tour the School "organized by the students of grade 1 within the school premises. The student guides conducted a special tour of the school campus and visited different locations in the school like Art room, Accounts room, Admin office, Principal cabin, Dance room, Playground etc etc. After the school campus tour, students had a dance sequences to the song learnt by them. The classroom was decorated with the worksheets and art work done during the thematic week.

Today's Assembly was a tribute to the youngest archaeologist in India- Arsh Ali. He was born on 18th August 2000 and has worked on numerous excavation sites and is currently working on several interesting archaeological projects. He is primarily fascinated by Indian and Egyptian archaeology. Along with mastering hieroglyphs, Arsh knows 10 languages which include the basic knowledge in Arabic and Latin. He is also well versed in 18 scripts, a few of which are extinct already.

Visit to Museum - 2022
Footprints in Time-An Archaeological Expedition Under this theme, students of Grade 5 to 8 got an opportunity to Visit a Central Museum of Nagpur. Established in 1863,this museum houses historical Coins, Sculptures, Artifacts such as dinosaurs fossils, ancient inscriptions ,mineral stones ,antlers, invertebrates specimen and more. This place is quite popularly known as Ajab Bangla, one of the oldest museums in India.

Footprints in Time-An Archaeological Expedition Under this theme, students of Grade 1 to 4 got an opportunity to Visit a Historical Monument "Deeksabhoomi" which is a sacred Monument of Navayana Buddhism located at Nagpur where Dr B.R.Ambedkar ,embraced Buddhism with approximately 600,000 of his followers on Ashoka Vijaya Dashami on 14th Oct. Unlike the Stupa of Sanchi, Deekshabhoomi stupa is completely hollow inside. It is the largest hollow stupa among all Buddhists stupa in the world. The inner circular hall is spread across 4000 square feet with granite, marble and Dholpur sandstone used in its construction.

Under the RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH Students of Podar International School #NagpurKatol participated in a Special Plantation Drive in the School Nutrition (Kitchen) Garden.

Rashtriya Poshan Maah is being celebrated during the month of September, 2021 to further accelerate various activities under POSHAN Abhiyan and to create a Jan Andolan in the Process by adhering to Covid19.

Students also attended Online Virtual Assembly of "RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH" POSHAN Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission) was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 8th March, 2018. The Program strives to reduce the level of stunting, under-nutrition, low birth weight in children and anaemia in adolescent girls etc. This is an ongoing program.

Parivartan Drive - 2020
Podar International School students participated in PARIVARTAN DRIVE 2019-20 Celebrating Life at Dayanand Park Jaripatka Nagpur on 22nd Feb 2020. Students participated in this special drive titled 'PARIVARTAN', to talk about the importance of knowing one's internal self, which is one of the most important ways of creating a positive influence in one's life and surroundings. The students participated in storytelling sessions and presented live music performances, while spreading awareness about the importance of taking care of one's emotional, mental and physical well-being. They also choreographed a flash mob to convey the message of the theme and asked the people to support the cause of ‘Celebrating Life'

Term II. Whole School Activity."No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" Visit to Jeevan Raksha School for Mentally Disabled Children Nagpur. Primary and Secondary Grade students donated items like Fruits,Dry Snacks,Toiletries like Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrush. Medicinal stuffs like Dettol, Savlon etc. Students also presented and involved the Mentally Disabled students with them for a Group Dance. The students enjoyed spending time with them as they realized how blessed they are and the meaning of true kindness.
5th Annual Day Celebration 2019-2020

Students presented 'Malgudi Days' based on the eponymous works of R. K. Narayan.

The theme focused on the life of a ten-year-old boy studying at Albert Mission School, Malgudi. He lives in Vinayaka Mudali Street.

The people living in the small town of Malgudi lead simple lives and face several trials and tribulations.

The lead role of 'Swami' the ten year old boy was played by Gaurav Mahajan of Grade 7th. Based on this theme students performed many dances and showcased the whole story with enthusiasm and zeal. As our Chief Guest we invited Dr Nilesh Bharne Additional Deputy Commissioner Crime Branch Nagpur. Principals of other Podar Schools also graced the occasion.

It was indeed a splendid event which was enjoyed by all the parents and guests.

Special Assembly 'National Youth Day' - 2020
'We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far'-Swami Vivekananda. Students presented a small skit on the life and values of Swami Vivekanand. It was a decision of Government of India taken in 1984 to celebrate the birthday of great Swami Vivekananda, i.e.12th January, as National Youth Day every year. The Government of India quoted that ' The Philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth Day.'
International Kids Film Festival - 2019
Podar International School Nagpur Katol conducted & hosted 'INTERNATIONAL KIDS FILM FESTIVAL' Students of Grades I to X were shown Internationally Award winning Films today. These Films were a part of the INTERNATIONAL KIDS FILM FESTIVAL. The Movies were viewed grade wise and time slot for each and every classes were different. Parents also watched and enjoyed these movies as we had special arrangement for parents as well. The movies were Internationally famous which included Short Visual Movies,Animated Movies and Documentaries. 'CULMINATING EVENT-DESIGN BOOTCAMP-Innovate, Create and Showcase' under the theme DESIGN-A-WAY- Exploring the Process of Making and Unmaking The school-wide theme 'Design Thinking' culminated with an event -'Design Bootcamp' organized by the students and staff members. Special Assembly 'David M Kelly - A Master of Design Thinking' - 2019
Theme - Design a way. David M Kelly is an American businessman, entrepreneur,designer, engineer and teacher. He is founder of the design firm IDEO and a professor at Stanford University. He has received several honors for his contributions to design and design education. Through a short skit the students were able to know about David.M Kelly and his achievements and were also able to be inspired to read and know more such great innovators.
5th Annual Sports Day Celebration 2019-2020

Podar International School Katol Road Nagpur conducted its 5th Annual Sports Meet 2019-20 on 9th November. Mr Piyush Ambulkar Sports Officer of Nagpur Munical Corporation was the Chief Guest of the event who was accompanied by the School’s General Manager Mr Yogesh Mhatre. The event started with releasing of Balloons and Torch Run followed by March past which was conducted by the School’s Head Boy Mst Maneesh Manoj of Grade 10 and an Opening Dance. School’s Extra Curriculum Sports like Fencing,Gymnastic,Karate,Basketball,Yoga,Archery and Cricket were Demonstrated in a special event called 'Khelo Podar'. The event was also filled with many Fun Races like Balance Challenge, Drag the ball with Hula Hoop and many more including Class wise Drills, and Fun Games for Parents. Principal Lucky Sadrani motivated and appreciated the students and parents for their active participation and enthusiasm. The program was compeered by Ms Tanushree Chatterjee.

Podar Model United Nations State Level Conference was held on 11th and 12th October 2019 at Hotel New Pride,Sangli organized by PIS,Sangli. Our students participated in the Conference and bagged trophies and certificates. Mst.Maneesh Manoj of Grade X- (Delegate of Sweden) won BEST DELEGATE AWARD in the Disarmament and International Security Committee. Mst.Aryan Mishra of Grade X (Delegate of Bangladesh) won HONORABLE MENTION FOR POSITION PAPER in the International Monetary Fund. Students of Grade X visited 'Sai Guru Matimand Vidhyalaya' Nagpur to mark 'MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DAY' as they donated Care Packages to the underprivileged students, together they took part in drawing and colouring danced with each other and spent some quality time. World Mental Health Day (10 October) is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries. This day, each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' life worldwide.

CULMINATING EVENT for the on going theme 'SPACE TROOPERS' 'STARDUST-TO INFINITY & BEYOND' As our Chief Guest we invited Mr G.Sreedhar I.P.S Officer-SRPF Commandant who graced the occasion with his presence. As the current theme comes to an end, our students and staff organized a grand event STARDUST-TO INFINITY & BEYOND where students of Grades I & II came dressed up as Sun,Moon,Star, Planets, etc and students of Grades III & IV enacted as famous space personalities like Sunita Williams,Neil Armstrong etc. Students of Grades V-X participated in Food Stalls, and displayed their 3D space models in the Space Model Stalls that they had prepared during previous House Competitions.

Students of Grade 5 visited the Nagpur Traffic Police to give them 'THANK YOU LETTERS' as part of the Podar Volunteer Program. The Traffic Police officers appreciated the student’s kindness and were very happy to show the students their office and how they work with traffic safety, signals, traffic jam, accidents, electronic devices, systems etc. Students were very happy and had a learning experience through this activity.

'ENVIRONMENT CLEANLINESS DRIVE' under 'GIVING BACK-A PODAR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM' Students of Grade VIII went to 'FUTALA LAKE NAGPUR' for cleaning the area after Ganesh Visarjan. Students were accompanied by Members of the Rotary Club Nagpur and they appreciated our school's initiative towards keeping the environment clean. Students used disposable masks and gloves and cleaned the area and collected the waste materials that were disposed after Ganesh Visarjan. Students were also interviewed by few Media people during their activity. It was indeed a great cause which was appreciated by everyone.

"VISIT TO AN OLD AGE HOME 'MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY MOTHER TERESA'S HOME 'SHANTI BHAWAN' NAGPUR". Under the Giving Back Program Students of Grade VI visited Old Age Home Shanti Bhawan Nagpur to donate items like Dry Snacks, Toiletries, First Aid Kits etc to the Elderly who stay there. Students were emotional and happy at the same time while donating these things to the less fortunate elderly people. The Sisters, and all the Elderly people of Shanti Bhawan blessed each and every child for their kind gesture, care and helpful nature. Students not only learned about Giving, but they also learned about loving the elderly people especially those without families.

Through this program students learned the importance of plants and nature. Special Assembly 'Neil Armstrong Birthday Celebration' - 2019
Podar International School #NagpurKatol conducted 'SPECIAL ASSEMBLY' -NEIL ARMSTRONG'S BIRTHDAY' under the Theme 'SPACE TROOPERS' "Neil Armstrong was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5, 1930; he was an Astronaut, military pilot, and educator". Students participated in a skit 'The First Moon Landing 1969' to showcase the time and the Historical event when Neil Armstrong first landed on moon. Through this Special Assembly the students knew about Neil Armstrong and his achievements and were inspired to read and know more such great space explorers.
One Day Trip to Fun Planet 'Adventure Park' - 2019
Students started from school in the morning and reached the destination within half an hour. After reaching, students enjoyed and laughed with different types of claps, funny dances, expressions that one of the park's staff member shared with the students. Students had breakfast and soon participated in all the different activities. After a delicious lunch students enjoyed with teachers as the park's staff members organized a musical chair for the Podar Staff on occasion of Teachers Day. The trip ended with snacks for everyone and with amazing fun loving memories.

Under the Giving Back Program students of Grade 3 visited Sadar Police Station Nagpur to give 'Thank You Cards' to the Policemen of Nagpur City. The Thank You Cards were handmade by the students of Grade 3 and as they visited the Police Station they saw how the Station looks like and how they work, and how important are their duties. Students met the officers, policemen and gave the Thank You cards for their service and protection towards our people and the city. The Police Officers also appreciated the little one's kind efforts and gave them chocolates and pens as a present of appreciation.

As part of the Podar Volunteer Program students of Grade 2 visited Animal Rescue Center 'SAVE SPEECHLESS ORGANISATION' Nagpur to donate Pet Supplies for the Animals who are rescued and kept there for adoption. Students spent time with the animals in the shelter and helped in feeding and caring for the dogs. They also donated pet supplies like biscuits, pedigree, and other items. It was indeed an amazing learning experience for the students as they learned about giving, caring and loving animals.
Independence Day Celebration - 2019

Podar International School NagpurKatol celebrated 73rd Independence Day in the school campus.

"Every year on 15th August the Country celebrates freedom from the British Rule. As we celebrate Independence, we also celebrate the rich Indian culture and tradition."

Today as our chief guest we invited Mr. Kishor Manohar Gosewade Lecturer in Bhonsala Military School and former Member of Board of studies for the subject of Defence Studies Maharashtra State Board. Students and staff members celebrated Independence Day in the school premises.

After Flag Hoisting the program started with English Speech, Solo Song, Hindi Speech, Various Group Dances, Group Song Sanskrit speech, and Skit. The program ended with fun quiz for parents.

Mystical Rainforest - Exploring Life under Nature's Green Umbrella! The school-wide theme 'Mystical Rainforest' culminated with an event- Into the Wild. Organized by the students and staff members of the school within the premises. This event was a theatrical depiction of the lives of the tribes of the Rainforest. The students of Grades I & II did a ramp walk and showcased different types of Tribes. Students of Grades III to V showcased Tribes through an entertaining dance performance and students of Grades VI to X performed skit to portray different tribal lifestyle. It was a very beautiful and fun event of a great theme that ended with amazing memories of Mystical Rainforest!!!
Field Trip 'Nature Trek - Exploring Plants & Animals in our immediate surroundings' - 2019
Mystical Rainforest - Exploring Life under Nature's Green Umbrella! Under the theme Mystical Rainforest students of Grades I to VI visited Seminary Hills Nagpur to explore the beauty of Nature and it's extraordinary gifts. Students were very happy and excited to see the Green Forest,birds, plants, insects, flowers, etc. It was a learning and fun trekking for the students.

Experiences 'Interview with a Wildlife Expert' - 2019
Under the theme Mystical Rainforest students of Grades VI to VIII got an opportunity to Interview a Wildlife Expert Dr Jaydeep Das-Honorary Wildlife Warden Nagpur District. He has done PhD and MBA in Marketing and BE in Production Engineering. Presently he is working as HR and Marketing Manager at Tirupati Bank and he has worked as Livelihood Manager at Melghat Tiger Reserve and Pench Tiger Reserve. Students asked questions and he shared his valuable knowledge and experiences about his work, interests in wildlife, forests, wild animals, water conservation, saving the forest, and how he became interested in choosing Wildlife as his career. It was indeed a valuable and knowledgeable experience for our students as he shared many interesting stories, experiences related to wildlife, nature and conservation of wild forests.
1st Mock Fire Drill 2019-2020
Mock Fire Drill was held today in the school premises. Students evacuated the building after the Fire Alarm started and were given demo on how the Fire Extinguisher is used in case of Fire Emergency. Principal, Teachers, Admin Officer and the Housekeeping staff were also present.
5th International Yoga Day Celebration - 2019
5th International Day of Yoga at Podar International School Nagpur Katol International Day of Yoga, or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on 21st June since its inception in 2015. An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in India. Yoga is an age-old practice that boosts the physical, mental and spiritual well being. Ever since the United Nations declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga in 2015, it has created quite a lot of buzz all across the globe. To celebrate Yoga Day our students and staff members participated in Yoga Activity and enjoyed learning new and different Yoga poses.
4th Annual Day 'The Five Elements' Celebration 2018-2019
On 2nd March we celebrated our 4th Annual Day Function. The theme was "The Five Elements". As our chief guest we invited Ms Aasawari Shenolikar Deputy Editor of The Hitavada along with our Principal ma'am and Ms Zeenat Syed Principal PIS Nagpur Besa and Mr Rahat Hasan Regional Transport Manager. The event started with lighting of the lamp and introduction. Various school awards were given, and Annual Report was showcased by our principal ma'am. Each dance and skit was unique and mesmerizing. All the students gave a outstanding performance. It was a grand event with grand performances that will be remembered throughout the years.
Parivartan Drive 'Think Global, Eat Local' - 2019

The school has initiated the Campaign at Dayanand Park Jaripatka Nagpur today in morning hours. The 'Parivartan Drive' is an initiative by the students of Podar Education Network. The focus of the drive this year is on creating awareness about Indigenous crops, Super foods, Organic farming and eating local and healthy. The students organized various activities like 'Neem and Karela Juice Challenge' Healthy food stalls which included farm fresh carrots, veggies, lemon juice, cucumbers, tomatoes, sprouts etc. The students organized a Walkathon with slogans like "Think Global, Eat Local", "Stop Food Wastage", "Eat Healthy" etc.. Students also organized a Flash Mob in which the crowd also participated. Everyone took selfies in their smartphones and shared on their own social media accounts. It was a successful and a wonderful awareness program which was enjoyed by the whole public.

Under the theme Farm to Fork, the students got a chance to experience a 'Farm to Fork Picnic, wherein they created interesting recipes, talked about the benefits of different kinds of food, learned a thing or two about food pairing and were also able to build a strong base when it comes to knowing about combining nutritional quality and interesting ingredients.

FARM TO FORK - FIELD TRIP. Under the theme Farm to Fork students of Grade 7th & 8th visited a Green House 'Tantragyan Vanikaran Vibhag Nagpur' Through this Field Trip students were able to get knowledge about various kinds of plants, trees and how they are grown and taken care of. The students observed and made note of the importance of different plants. It was a learning experience for the students as they discovered various types of plants and their uses.

FARM TO FORK - EXPERIENCES!!! Under the Theme Farm to Fork students of Grade 6 and 7 were given opportunity to interact one-on-one with the local Farmers Mr Krushnarao Kusatkar & Mr Nimbaji Akhand. The students were able to ask questions to the Farmer about their works, what kind of plants and seeds they grow, how big their land is and about their Experiences. It was indeed a great experience for the students as they were able to learn a lot about Farmers and their Farms.

FARM TO FORK- Uncover the Journey the Food makes to reach our Plates! Students of Grade IV V & VI visited local Farmer's Market where they discovered local vegetables that come straight from Farms. The students observed and made note and after coming back they shared their experiences in a Worksheet. Students also interacted with the local vegetable seller and got the idea about many different local vegetables.

Students of Grade IV V & VI visited a nearby Dal Mill as part of a Field Trip under the Theme Farm to Fork. The students discovered and experienced the process on how the pulses are Grinded, Cleaned, Processed and learned about the different machines. Through these experiences, the students received a widened, practical view on how and what they are learning that connects with real life situations.
Giving Back 'A Podar Volunteer Program' - 2018
Fund Raiser Cum Fun Fair. As part of the 'Giving Back' volunteer program, students organized a Fun Fair which was filled with joy and entertainment. Students prepared food stalls and game stalls with the help of their parents and teachers to raise money to donate in local NGO's or Orphanages. The whole collection was approximate 6000 rupees and all the money was donated to 'Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa Shanti Bhavan Nagpur'

We all welcomed Mr Anilkumar Karwande President of Kreeda Bharti Vidarbha State as our Chief Guest. The program was filled with joy and patriotism. Students gave beautiful speeches, sang patriotic songs, danced, and enacted in skit. There was also Quiz for parents. It was indeed a beautiful and enthusiastic program.
