CBSE Students win Accolades at Diplomathon - 2017

141 students of PIS, Powai (CBSE) of class VIII and IX participated in ‘Diplomathon 2017’.

According to Principal, Neeta Bali, this gave the students much needed exposure in debating, public speaking, critical analysis, dialogue engagement and oration research and administration, cross cultural awareness, personal and professional development, student-grooming and etiquette, experiential learning etc. were enhanced ensuring growth beyond the classroom. The event saw participation from 25 schools and 1500 students from various prestigious institutions of Mumbai. PIS, Powai (CBSE) ranked among the top scorers.

The school won the trophy for ‘School With Largest Contingent’ apart from the following prizes:
1) Divya Jha of class IX bagged the gold medal representing for Shiv Sena, Committee - MCGM.
2) Meghna Tirumalai of class VIII bagged the gold medal for representing Pakistan, Committee - World bank.
3) Aditya Lalwani of class IX won the silver medal for representing Angola, Committee – AU.
4) Saniya Singh of class IX won the silver medal for representing Bulgaria, Committee – NATO.
5) Aditya Chaturvedi of class IX was presented the bronze medal for representing Thailand Committee – World Bank.
6) Nippun Sabarwal of class VIII was presented with the bronze medal for representing Bangladesh, Committee – SAARC.
