Summer Fun 2022 was conducted at Podar Jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri on 4th May 2022 to 14th May 2022. Kartavya 'Walkathon with the parents and children' - 2020
Kartavya event was conducted as " Walkathon with the parents and children" in the presence of Police Incharge, Traffic Inspector Mr.Vibhute and his officials, Principal Mr.Kitikumar Deshmukh , PIS, Ratnagiri was present for the Walkthon. It was conducted at Maruti mandir, Ratnagiri with our enthusiastic children and parents. An event was conducted to educate children about Duty , Determination and Dedication for a happier and safer society.
Christmas Celebration - 2019
Christmas 2019 was celebrated at Podar Jumbo Kids with the theme " Spread joy and cheer, Christmas is here. Various playschools of Ratnagiri were invited to double the joy .Various activities were done on the day.
Master Chef - 2019
Master chef event was celebrated as "Papa banao Dadi/Nani ki receipe". Dadi Nani and Dad prepared dish for master chef event. Little Jumbos helped them for the preparation . Lecture on nutritional diet was given by dietician Ms.Komal Tawade.
3rd Sports Day Celebration 'Jumbo on Wheels' 2019-2020
PJK Ratnagiri celebrated 3rd Sports day at school with the theme " JUMBO ON WHEEL". children were participated in various races that will help foster their overall growth and development.Children got opportunity to learn while they play and have fun is hat this sports event is all about.
Diwali Mela - 2019
Diwali Mela was celebrated at Podar Jumbo Kids as "Let's spread the lights of happiness".Parents and children enjoyed together with various fun activities and spent memorable time with each other. Kandil Making, Decorating Diyas activities were conducted.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration - 2019
This year Podar Jumbo Kids celebrated the birth anniversaries of two great leaders of our country as Bapu and Lal Bahadur Shastri in a unique celebration as "Aao kuch bane Bapu aur Shstriji ke sang" where children explored the varied roles that Bapu and Shastriji practiced and enjoyed.Children saw how they were Fitness experts,Travelers,Lawyers,Farmers and Gardeners,Social Activists,Fashion Stylists,Environment Engineers.

2nd Play date with parents was conducted at Podar jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri. Theme of the play date was "To build on the parent-school partnership at Podar Jumbo Kids" Demos of the daily activities held in the school were given to the parents by the teachers.

1st Play date with parents was conducted on Saturday 29th June 2019 at Podar Jumbo Kids with the theme “We learn as we play, the Jumbo Kids way”. Various activities were conducted by the teachers with the parents and children. Parents response was very good. The enjoyed all the activities with their kids.
International Yoga Day - 2019
International Yoga day was celebrated at Podar Jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri on Friday, 21st June 2019.Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Yoga comes naturally to children. Even an infant unconsciously follows yogamudras. It is time, we brought Yoga alive for our children. We celebrated Yoga day by taking simple postures and breathing exercises that are fun and by doing Various Asanas in the school as per the age group and as Jumbo turns into 20 , Yoga pose was postured in number 20.
Father's Day Celebration - 2019
Father’s day was celebrated on Saturday, 15th June 2019 at school with parents. Daddys and children enjoyed all the activities with enthusiasm. We celebrated this special day as “MY Daddy, My Hero” ,a fun-filled time where the children experienced and enjoyed quality time with their ‘daddy’, doing various activities. We truly appreciate the participation of all the male relatives that accompanied the children as their father could not be present. It was a wonderful sight to see fathers and children connecting together over the games and activities and creating memories to cherish forever.

Earth Day Celebration - 2019
Earth Day was celebrated at Podar Jumbo Kids,with the theme "Project planet earth..... .It belongs to all of us" on 22nd April 2019. 22nd April was celebrated as "World Earth day", a day on which we pay tribute to the wonderful planet that is our home.Nursery children sung the song "Our Planet Earth".Jr.KG and Sr.KG. children sung the song "Earth is the name of our planet".Teacher read the picture placards one by one and children repeated the same.Children sowed seeds in soil pots.Children enjoyed an activities and taken the pots to home to observe the growth of the seeds.
Kartavya - 2019
Kartavya event was celebrated on Saturday, 12th January 2019 at Maruti Mandir , Ratnagiri. The theme of the event was "The Walkthon for children and Parents"An event was conducted to educate children about Duty,Determination and Dedication for a happier and safer society.Lets cheers to Happy Childhood that matures into responsible adulthood and cheers to KARTAVYA.
Halloween Carnival - 2018
Halloween Carnival is an unique event. It was celebrated on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Podar Jumbo Kids,Ratnagiri. Children came dressed in costumes of ghosts and skeletons in orange and black colour fancy dress party. The idea of the carnival was not just for a fun but to overcome fear with the activities like creepy crawlies and dark room.The event was enjoyed by the children and parents as it was great learning experience with fun.
Independence Day Celebration - 2018
15th August 2018 was celebrated as Our Grandparents celebrating Independence Day” at Podar Jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri. The event was organized keeping in mind to make our children realize that the independence and freedom that they enjoy and take for granted has been possible because of their Grandparents generation. Children along with their grandparents enjoyed fun activities like coin rubbing zones of India, Peg the states of india, Guess the personality brought them closer as the learnt more about their beautiful country, India.
International Mud Day Celebration - 2018
International Mud Day was held on Saturday, 11th August 2018 as Papa ko chipko at Podar Jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri. Various activities were conducted for parents and children. Counting in mud, Friends in Mud, Mud painting activities, football and Tug-of-love etc games were conducted. Children enjoyed a lot to play in the mud and enjoyed all the activities based on mud.
Earth Day Celebration - 2018

Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April. In 1970, a Senator from Wisconsin, USA, Gaylord Nelson first conceived of this day and Podar Jumbo Kids Nation is proud to celebrate Earth Day on 23rd April and the theme for this year celebration was “Earth Day 2018” is “Follow the Three R’s”.

  • Reduce - the amount of trash you make.
  • Reuse - find new uses for old/used items.
  • Recycle - paper, cans, and plastic.

We showed children a picture of Earth .Explained to children the concept of wet and dry garbage and how to use the dustbins to dispose of them separately. Children were taken out for nature walk and teacher explained them the use and importance of plants. We also explained the children not to waste water and explained about the importance to turn off water tap in the sink while not in use. Explained the children to turn off lights, fans, and other appliances when not in use.

Our Mantra for the day was REUSE- REFUSE-RECYCLE AND REMIND and video was shown to children to explain these 3 R’s .

Opening Day 2018-2019
Grand welcome of new children for the academic year 2018-19’ at Podar Jumbo Kids Ratnagiri. Jumbo welcomed all the new children on Thursday, 19th April, 18’. Parents accompanied their children for the first day of school. Children enjoyed the first day of school.
Master Chef - 2017
Master chef was celebrated as “Grandmas’ recipe by little Master Chefs and Daddies” with enthusiasm and excitement. It was a unique event where fathers, grandmother (dadi), grandmother(nani) and child had come together and made a recipe that dadi/nani make. Participants were asked to make recipe from the Jumbo menu. Healthy and nutritional recipes were made .All recipes were made without fire. Renowned judges panel was invited for judging. Mrs.Urmila Ghosalkar. Pro. Daily Ratnagiri Times ,Dr. Nishigandha Ponkshe , Admin. Officer of Dhanvantri Hospital and Mrs Aditi Bhave , Entrepreneur and Confectionery artist were the judges for the event. The recipes were judged on the base of nutritional values, ingredients used overall presentation, layout and creativity. Five best recipes were selected .All children were awarded with participation certificate. Selfie booth was arranged for all. Parents wrote overwhelming feedback. All children enjoyed being little Master Chef.
Children's Day Celebration - 2017
This children’s Day, ‘Childhood was celebrated at Podar Jumbo Kids. Children Participated in a fiesta of engaging activities. They played, sang and danced and truly enjoyed ‘their day’. What a wonderful way to build on the 3 prime areas which are most essential for children’s healthy development and future learning.
Guru Nanak Jayanti - 2017
GURU NANAK JAYANTI was celebrated as “Love One Another” on 3rd November 2017 at Podar Jumbo Kids. At Podar Jumbo Kids we do not promote a religion or religious festivals; in fact we promote the religious spirit of that festival’s celebration. Nursery class conducted the event with making a “Love One Another” poster with the children. Jr.KG and Sr.KG children enjoyed the event by making colorful paper loops links chain.
Halloween Carnival - 2017
Podar Jumbo Kids, Ratnagiri, celebrated the unique event Halloween Carnival. Children were dressed in costumes related to ghosts and skeletons, in black and orange colours for the fancy dress party. They enjoyed playing with the skeletons and had creepy crawly fun. The idea of the carnival was not just to have fun but it was all about making the children overcome their fears and understand about shadows, skeletons and creepy crawlies with fun games and activities. The event celebration was a great learning cum fun experience for the kids.
