At Podar International School, #Talegaon, the first ‘Bagless Day’ was organized with various activities for the students of Grade 5 to 8. These activities were effectively implemented by contributing significantly to the success of the 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan'. All the students were assessed in the activities such as Oral assessment, Poster making on the topic ’Jal Doot’, and elocution competition based on the theme ‘Rain Water harvesting’.

These activities not only educate students about the importance of water conservation but also encourage active participation, creativity, and critical thinking skills. A Special Assembly organized by Podar International School, #Talegaon centered on the theme-"Legends and Laughter: A Tribute to Comic Characters," which fostered a sense of community, creativity, and appreciation for the timeless art form of comics among the students.

To highlight the theme of the assembly, the students of Grade 8 showcased a skit representing famous comic characters in humorous and entertaining scenarios.

The students brought the creators of comic characters such as Anant Pai, creator of Amar Chitra Katha, Stan Lee, creator of Marvel Comics, Charles Schulz, creator of Peanuts and Pran Kumar Sharma, creator of Chacha Chaudhary to life through role-playing or dramatic performances.

This event was a Tribute to the Legendary Comic Artist, popular worldwide. We acknowledge their contribution to the world of Comics through this event.

The Jumpstart Event was carried out at Podar International School, #Talegaon for Grade 1 at the start of the Thematic Unit to immerse the students in the theme ’MARVELLOUS ME’.

Vibrant Ram Navami Celebration Enlivened Podar International School #Talegaon, with great fervor and enthusiasm on April 16, 2024 The celebration was a blend of traditional rituals, spiritual discourses, and lively dance performance by the students of Class 5, bringing together students, teachers, and staff in joyous harmony.

The celebration commenced with a ceremonial puja dedicated to Lord Rama by our Respected Principal Sir. The puja included chanting of Dohas, invoking the blessings of Lord Rama for the well-being and prosperity of everyone associated with the school.

The insightful talks by our Respected Principal Sir delved into the significance of Ram Navami and its relevance in today's world, emphasizing the values of righteousness, truth, and compassion that Lord Rama exemplified through his life.

The activities for the ‘Takeoff Point’ like My Favourite Cartoon/Comic Character or Superhero, A superhero power I would like to have, A Superpower I would like to give to my favourite Superhero and – ‘Complete the dialogue for Snoopy’ were planned so as to immerse the students in the process of exploring as soon as they enter the school.

These activities created excitement and interest among the students about the upcoming theme and also provided opportunities to express their feelings and thoughts in the school.

Eid marks the culmination of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community spirit for Muslims worldwide. Christmas day is celebrated all over the world on December 25. People celebrate Christmas day to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ - who is believed to be the Messiah. Christmas day celebration can be traced back to the mid-fourth century in Asia Minor, now known as Turkey. During the festival, Christians gathered to eat the Feast of the Nativity of Christ and the consumption of bread and wine was a common custom during this time. Throughout Europe, Christians began to also celebrate Christmas day by lighting candles on trees and singing carols by candlelight. Today, Christmas is celebrated in many different parts of the world by people of all beliefs alike.

A lot of people celebrate the birth of Jesus by putting up a happy Christmas day tree, decorating it with lights, and sharing presents with friends and family. Many people also plan for new year celebrations around this time.

Podar International School, Talegaon celebrated Christmas Day by performing wonderful skits, dance and song. All the #Podarites were dressed up in red, green and white shades which made the event even more mesmerizing.

CBSE Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Practices Training was conducted at Podar International School, Talegaon by Resource persons, Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Nayak Sir (Principal of Podar International School, Talegaon) and Mr. Pradeep Samal (Principal of Flora Valley School and Junior College).

Halloween, contraction of All Hallows’ Eve, a holiday observed on October 31, the evening before All Saints’ (or All Hallows’) Day. The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints (All Saints’ Day, November 1) and initiates the season of Allhallowtide, the triduum dedicated to remembering the dead that lasts three days and concludes with All Souls’ Day (November 2).
