Podar International School, Belagavi, celebrated Guru Purnima with great enthusiasm and reverence on July 20, 2024.
The event was marked by thought-provoking speeches, dance performances, and the felicitation of the Principal and teachers as a heartfelt appreciation for the significance of the guru-shishya relationship.
Principal Mr. Raj Hulamani addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of having a guru in one's life. "A guru guides us towards the path of knowledge, wisdom, and self-discovery," the principal said.
The celebration was a testament to the school's commitment to preserving culture and tradition. The event concluded with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the guidance and support provided by the gurus.
Podar International School, Belagavi hosted an unforgettable Culminating Event - Comic Verse Extravaganza, on July 16th, 2024, as part of the Integrated Learning Programme.
Our respected Principal, Mr. Raj Hulmani, inaugurated the event, which saw our talented students bring superheroes and comic characters to life!
Grade 1-4 students dressed up in colorful costumes, embodying their favourite comic heroes, while Grade 5-8 students transformed their classrooms into comic wonderlands with:

- Comic merchandise displays
- Comic hero posters
- Comic writer showcases
The enthusiasm and creativity on display were truly inspiring! Our students had an amazing time exploring the world of comics and learning through this unique event.

We proudly hosted a two days special feature, 'Mirror Musings' at Podar International School Belagavi on July, 11-12, 2024, for our grade 1-8 students!
This empowering session focused on cultivating a growth mindset, teaching our young minds to embrace challenges and understand the power of "yet". Our students learned that obstacles are opportunities in disguise and that they have the potential to achieve anything they set their minds to!
Through interactive activities and thought-provoking discussions, our students discovered the importance of resilience, self-reflection, and perseverance. They realized that mistakes are an essential part of the learning process and that every experience shapes their growth.

"Expanding Minds, One Book at a Time!
As a part of Integrated Learning Programme (ILP) theme 'Ink and Imagination', our grade VI students from Podar International School visited the City Central Library, Belagavi on July 10th 2024 to discover the magic of books and reading!
This exciting field trip aimed to instill a love for reading and highlight its significance in their academic and personal growth. Our young learners were thrilled to explore the vast collection of books, learn about different genres, and develop an appreciation for the written word.
By fostering a reading habit, we aim to upskill our students with essential skills like critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication. We believe that reading is the key to unlocking a world of possibilities!

A fire mock drill was conducted at Podar International school, Belagavi to ensure that all students and staff are familiar with evacuation procedures and safety protocols.
Students and staff evacuated the school building in an orderly manner, proceeding to the designated assembly area. Principal Mr. Raj Hulamani briefed the students on categories of fires and correct modes of extinguishing them. He also shared with the students simple and easy guidelines to follow safety tips. A quiz was conducted to assess students' knowledge necessary during an emergency and fire. The Fire Mock drill highlighted the importance of preparedness in ensuring the safety of all individuals on campus. The drill proved to be informative and an important lesson on life-saving skills.
Podar International School, Belagavi, hosted an interactive session with renowned cartoonist and artist, Mr. Lawrence Joseph, on July 10, 2024. The session was conducted under the theme 'Ink and Imagination' of Integrated Learning Programme (ILP) and aimed to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative potential.

The students of Podar International School, Belagavi, celebrated Umbrella Day with great enthusiasm and creativity!
They recited poems and delivered speeches about rain and umbrellas, showcasing their knowledge and confidence. The tiny tots also enjoyed decorating their umbrellas with colorful stickers, paint, and markers.
The students had a blast dancing with their umbrellas in the gentle rain, enjoying the drizzle while staying dry under their colorful canopies. The celebration was a huge success while students were taught about the importance of umbrellas while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and fun. The children were grateful to Principal sir for encouraging them to bring umbrellas thus protecting themselves from the rain during the monsoon.
'Together may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly'
The first PTA meeting of AY 2024-25 was conducted at Podar International School, Belagavi on 22nd June 2024.
The principal Mr. Raj Hulamani being the Chairperson, guided the members on their roles and responsibilities. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the PTA 2023-24 for their dedeicated involvement in school activities. Sir briefed on the upcoming events and addressed the queries of members. Suggestions were also taken positively.

Delegation of responsibility and giving authority to children while making them understand the vital role played by democracy in nation building is important as it teaches them lifelong skills.
A mock parliamentary election was conducted at school wherein grade 5 to 10 students voted through Google form and elected their representatives. Miss. Shivani Mane from grade 10 was elected as the School captain and Master Krishnagouda Patil from grade 9, as the School vice-captain.
The Investiture ceremony of the school cabinet was held at Podar International School, Belagavi on 26th June 2024. The ceremony marked the induction of our new student cabinet leaders who will carry the torch of responsibility through the various positions. The students, who contested in the cabinet elections and couldn't get majority votes, were also invested with some positions to support the school and realize their leadership qualities.
All the students were badged by the Principal Raj Hulamani Sir who motivated them to emerge as the best true leaders for the school and the world.
"Voting is not just our right but our duty as well"
Election brings about a sense of equality among our country's citizens. Voting is one of the great privileges of living in a democracy. It provides recognition of the citizen's opinions and choices.
The most awaited Cabinet Election for the formation of School Cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was conducted at Podar International School, Belagavi on 24 June 2024.
Respected Principal Mr.Raj Hulmani inaugurated the election process by cutting the ribbon. He inspired the students with the importance of voting and role of democracy in making our lives better.
Students of Grade 9 and 10 carried out the responsibilities such as Polling Officer, Presiding Officer, Booth Level Officer and Police Officer for smooth functioning of the election.
Podarites cast their precious vote to elect the deserving candidates for the School Cabinet with great zeal.

International Yoga Day and World Music Day was celebrated on 21st June 2024 at Podar International School, Belagavi.
Students and teachers participated enthusiastically in the celebration by performing different yoga asanas which were helpful in enhancing physical health, heightened mental clarity, overall happiness and inner peace.
A special melodious song performance of students added symphony to the observation of World Music Day.
The students realised the importance of physical fitness as well as the need of learning a musical instrument for a better life.
Students of grade 9, Podar International School, Belagavi witnessed an Exhibition on 'Design Thinking for Social Innovation' which was organised by KLE Technological University, Belagavi.
This immersive experience allowed students to explore innovative solutions to societal challenges through variety of interactive displays guided by experts in the field.
Students learned about the principles of design thinking, including empathy, ideation, and prototyping. They had the opportunity to engage, in discussing the impact of design thinking on real-world issues. The exhibition inspired students to think critically and creatively, fostering a deeper understanding of how they can contribute to a positive social change. Overall, the trip was a valuable educational experience that broadened their perspectives and motivated them to apply design thinking in their own lives.
‘Champions keep playing until they get it right’
The Champions of Podar International School, Belagavi celebrated the event of 11th Annual Sports Day 2023-24 on 12th December 2023 in their spacious playground. The event was witnessed by 1000 plus parents. It was a real treat of mesmerising displays which included Yoga, Lezim, Hoops, Pom pom, Taekwondo, Zumba dance and much more.
Children from grade 1 to 10 showcased their discipline and coordination through each event. The school is immensely proud to introduce the school band this year and the students energetically played it.
Prizes were distributed to various sports events conducted. Aqua house won the Best House while Ventus house was the Best March-past winner. Parents had a good time with games such as Tug of war and balancing the ball. Everyone at the Sports Day, had a wonderful time at the Sports Day.
On the occasion of "Vanamahotsava."Students actively participated in the group song,poem recitation,skit and dance performance, which highlighted the importance of planting trees followed by plantation drive.The students enthusiastically showcased their talent through slogan writing and story telling activity, which made the students understand and appreciate the role played by planting trees.
