To educate and train the students for an unforeseen emergency like fire or any natural calamity, Podar International School Sara City conducted a mock exercise and evacuation drill on Tuesday 13th Feb 2024 for classes nursery to grade IX. It was organised in the school premises under the guidance of the Principal.
Immediately after the sounding of the siren, the students were asked to leave their classes and evacuate the school. Guided by the teachers, the students assembled at the assembly point – the allotted safe zone. Following all the safety measures, the entire building was successfully cleared within a span of 1 minute and 10 seconds.
The drill was organized to check the readiness of the school to face any such emergency during any natural calamity and also to make the students and staff aware about the Fire Fighting rescue operation and its procedure. These mock drills help in meeting the challenges in adverse situations and in coping with the situation during the time of natural and man-made disaster.

Under the theme PLEAT BY PLEAT-Traversing the World of Sustainable Fabrics, Express Yourself activities were conducted for grades I to VIII in Podar International Schoo #Sara City.
The theme aims to give our students an opportunity to discover the different kinds of fabrics they are surrounded by. Class wise activities like Show and Tell- Sari Play, Art and Design Activity-Stam it, My Spruced-Up Uniform and Artisans the Untold Story Scrabble, were conducted wherein the students got a common platform to explore fabrics. Public speaking skills, analytical skills, thinking skills and expressive capabilities were developed by these activities. Students were very curious to know about the process of turning fibre into fabrics, different types of fabrics, how the textile industry runs and so on. Students gained a lot from these activities. Respected principal ma'am guided all the teachers and students with regard to the importance of fabric and the role it plays in our daily lives, the impacts of fabric pollution on the environment, and the different solutions and ideas to reduce its hazardous effect on the ecosystem.
