As part of our ongoing theme, “The Thinker’s Journey,” our recent assembly featured an insightful and heart warming presentation titled “Reflections on life - The Magic Bench” The session reminded students of the importance of slowing down, observing the world around them, and appreciating the simple joys that often go unnoticed in our busy lives.
The presentation included a meaningful skit where a wise grandfather used an ordinary bench to help two children understand the power of being present. Through their gentle conversation, students learned that mindfulness, gratitude, and conscious choices lead to a richer and more fulfilling life.

11th Annual Sports Day 2024-2025
"Every student is a winner when they play with honesty and heart."
The 11th Annual Sports Day 2025 of Podar International School, Gwalior was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 20th November 2025. The event began with Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Vandana, setting a divine tone for the celebration.
The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Ashish Sharma, GM Sir Rajeshwar Sharma, and Principal Sir Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear, whose encouragement inspired all participants. The programme included March Past, Drill Performance, Pyramid Presentation, various Track Races, Relay Races, and other athletic events. Students displayed discipline, enthusiasm, and true sportsmanship throughout the day.

Ignis Crowned Champions
The much-anticipated Inter-House Girls Cricket Tournament at Podar International School, Gwalior reached a thrilling conclusion with fierce competition among the four houses: Aqua, Ventus, Terra and Ignis.
In the first semifinal, Aqua faced off against Ventus, with Aqua emerging victorious after a closely fought match. The second semifinal saw Ignis take on Terra, where Ignis secured a convincing win, setting the stage for an exciting final between Aqua and Ignis.
The final match was a showcase of skill, teamwork, and determination, with Ignis putting on a stellar performance to claim the championship title. Congratulations to Ignis for their outstanding effort and well-deserved victory!

As part of our ongoing commitment to community service and empathy-driven education, students from Podar International School, Gwalior recently participated in a volunteer donation activity at Swarg Sadan, Gwalior, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for those in need.
Accompanied by their teachers and our Honorable Principal, Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear, the students visited the shelter home to donate essential items and spend meaningful time with the residents. This visit was not just about giving—it was about learning the value of compassion, human connection, and responsibility toward society.
Swarg Sadan, Gwalior is a home for the elderly, abandoned, and differently-abled individuals, providing them with care, dignity, and support. Transport Committee Meeting - 2025
Transport Committee Meeting was held on 18th July 2025 at Podar International School, Gwalior, with the aim of enhancing student safety, transport efficiency, and parent communication. Attended by school authorities, transport staff, and parent representatives.
The meeting focused on key upgrades such as GPS tracking, CCTV in all buses, availability of medical kits, and trained female attendants (Bus Didis). Parents suggested route optimization to reduce travel time to 30–40 minutes and proposed the creation of WhatsApp groups for each bus, along with sharing Bus Didi's contact number for better coordination.

The assembly began with a tribute to Alyque Padamsee, widely regarded as the “Father of Indian Advertising.” His iconic campaigns, such as the Liril waterfall girl and Hamara Bajaj, were revisited to illustrate how he brought emotion and imagination into the business of branding. His parallel achievements in theatre and advertising showcased the power of merging performance art with strategic communication.
The focus then shifted to Piyush Pandey, one of the most respected names in Indian advertising and the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman of Ogilvy India. His groundbreaking work on the Fevicol campaigns — including the unforgettable bus, fish, and sofa ads — was highlighted, along with his contributions to Asian Paints’ “Har Ghar Kuchh Kehta Hai” and the Polio Drive campaign. His ability to use humor, emotion, and everyday Indian life in storytelling resonated deeply with the audience.
Next came Prasoon Joshi, a celebrated lyricist and advertising visionary known for blending poetry and powerful messaging. 3D Designing and Printing Competition - 2023
An Intra-Podar 3D Designing and Printing Competition - 'Prototyping the Future' was organized at Podar International School, #Gwalior on Saturday, 25th February 2023 with the aim of inculcating interest in subjects like Science, Computer and Technology among the students and showcasing their talents.
Students participated in the 3D printing competition and presented their ideas and brought out their hidden talents within them. The competition aimed to stimulate curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds, and skills like Design Mind set, Computational Thinking, Adaptive Learning, and Physical Computing etc. are to be developed.
The competition was held in 4 different categories namely 3D Toy Arena for Grade V, 3D Automotive Modelling for Grade VI, 3D Architectural Models for Grade VII, and 3D Modern Farm for Grade VIII in which students participated rigorously. The categories in this competition were judged by the following panel of esteemed judges: Mr. Jagdish Makhijani Assistant Professor RJ IT, BSF Academy Tekanpur, Mr. Gaurav Bhardwaj Assistant Professor RJIT, BSF Academy Tekanpur, Mr. Mohan Dixit PGT Computer Science, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 5. The jury praised and said that we all were thrilled to see the interest and creativity of these small children that if they have such talent in their childhood, they will make the country famous when they grow up.
The models designed and exhibited by the participating students of Grade V to VIII under the guidance of Computer Teacher Mr. Krishna Kant Goyal. A lot of effort and creativity were put into the competition by the teams.
