Unmasking Media, Unleashing Creativity!

Podar International School, Hadapsar, successfully conducted its culminating event “AdFluence – Media Extravaganza” under the theme Media Unmasked. The event was a vibrant celebration of students’ deep learning and creativity developed over one and a half months.

The stage came alive as young Podarites showcased their understanding of media through fashion shows, product advertisements, brand presentations, game zones, and self-designed ad campaigns. The spotlight also shone on India’s iconic ads and ad gurus, ending with a mesmerizing dance tribute to Indian advertisements.

Adding grace to the celebration were our esteemed chief guests, Mr. Vikas Sharma and Mr. Milind Kulkarni.

Parents and students together made the event a grand success—turning knowledge into a joyful celebration of expression and innovation!

Podar International School, Hadapsar, buzzed with creativity and collaboration as students participated in an exciting inter-house competition titled "Billboard Battles : The Creative Challenge". This unique competition invited students to express their ideas visually and concisely by designing impactful billboards on one of four compelling themes:

1. Earth's Medical Report.
2. Rain and Rage flooding condition in urban area.
3. Less Screen, More Green.
4. Spreading Awareness to Conserve Wildlife.

Students from all four houses engaged in thoughtful ideation, lively discussion, and artistic exploration to bring their chosen themes to life. They crafted visually striking billboards and developed catchy, action- inspiring tag lines to motivate the public and raise awareness about important environmental and social issues.

These billboards were designed with real-world application in mind- tailored for roadside visibility and intented to capture the attention of people traveling by car, bike , or bus. This required students to keep their designs clear, concise, and powerful.

The activity provided a platform for students to work collaboratively, and u leash their creativity. The judging criteria emphasized:

1. Use of colours, fonts, designs, and overall creativity.
2. Team collaboration and participation.
3. Clarity and effectiveness in conveying the message.

The event was wonderful display of artistic talent, critical thinking, and team work. It also served as an inspiring reminder of the importance of using creativity to advocate for meaningful causes.

There is a constant endeavour to reinforce the ideals of continuous professional development in educators and further transform the classrooms into extraordinary learning centres.

The Math Bootcamp was conducted at Podar International School, Hadapsar from 29/5/2025 to 31/5/2025 as an initiative to build a positive learning environment.

The day 1 focussed on fostering growth mindset, importance of scaffolding and consistent upskilling of the teaching learning process.

The day 2 emphasized on the different teaching strategies for differentiated instruction, implementation of Bloom’s Taxonomy in class, creation of learning stations, building choice boards and empowering teachers with inquiry based learning (IBL).

The day 3 training session was on formulating different types of assessment, visualization of word problems, learning KWL chart of student, criteria for planning activities, golden rules to engage students in activities, use of MATH LAB and games to achieve desired learning outcomes.

The training session was outstanding. The use of real-world examples and interactive activities helped teachers to better understand the concepts and apply them to the teaching-learning process.

The Summer Camp held at PIS, Hadapsar from March 24th to March 29th, 2025, was a resounding success, engaging students in a variety of enriching activities.

The camp highlighted the diverse range of activities undertaken, including but not limited to Musical Journey, Strong with Sports and Hands on creative projects.

Podar International School, Hadapsar, celebrated Labour Day with great enthusiasm and respect. The event aimed to recognize and honour the invaluable contributions of workers from all walks of life. Students organized a special assembly that included speeches emphasizing the dignity of labour and the role of workers in nation-building. Through this celebration, students were encouraged to develop gratitude and respect for every profession, reinforcing the values of equality, humility, and hard work. The students also spoke about the importance of Maharashtra divas and about the establishment of Maharashtra as a state.

The students of Podar International School, Hadapsar, joyfully celebrated the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami with great enthusiasm and devotion. As part of the celebration, they presented a soulful song that beautifully depicted the divine and sacred bond between Shri Ram, Sita, and Lord Hanuman. Through their heartfelt performance, the students conveyed the values of righteousness, devotion, and loyalty that are central to the Ramayana. The event served as a reminder of the timeless teachings of Lord Ram and inspired everyone to embody his virtues in their lives. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual fervor, creating a truly memorable and uplifting experience for all.

Jumpstart into Media Unmasked: A Creative Beginning at Podar International School, Hadapsar!

The excitement was palpable as we kicked off the Academic Year 2025-26 with a dynamic Jumpstart Activity, unveiling our first theme—Media Unmasked!

From Grade 1 to 8, our enthusiastic Podarites dived into an array of engaging activities that sparked their curiosity and creativity. They proudly wrote the names of their favorite brands, designed captivating billboards for a "Favorite Brand Wall," and stepped into the shoes of reporters with "Me as a Reporter." Exploring their digital world, they shared insights on "My Favorite Social Media" and solved a Media Jigsaw Puzzle, piecing together the fascinating world of communication.

This immersive experience set the stage for a month of exciting exploration, where our students will unmask the many facets of media—its influence, ethics, and power in shaping our world.

The Thematic Unit Culmination Event at Podar International School, Hadapsar, held on 1st March 2025, was a grand success! Grade I students explored "The World Explorer," Grade II embarked on "Let’s Take a Trip," and Grade III amazed everyone with their "Magic Science Lab." The event received an overwhelming response from parents, who thoroughly enjoyed the students' performances.

A highlight of the event was the vibrant display of traditional attire from various countries. Additionally, the Science Exhibition captivated the audience, encouraging active participation as students showcased their scientific knowledge and creativity.

On 20th February 2025, students of Podar International School, Hadapsar had a wonderful opportunity to visit the Universal Animal Welfare Society in Katraj as part of the Podar Volunteer Program. It was an enriching and eye-opening experience that allowed us to witness the incredible efforts being made towards the care of stray animals, especially dogs.

Upon arriving, we saw many stray dogs housed in clean and safe enclosures. The organization is dedicated to rescuing, feeding, and providing medical care to these animals. They ensure that every dog receives proper nutrition and veterinary attention, helping them recover from injuries or illnesses.

One of the highlights of our visit was an informative presentation by a vet. He shared valuable insights about animal welfare, the importance of responsible pet ownership, and how organizations like this play a crucial role in protecting stray animals. His talk deepened our understanding of the challenges faced by these animals and the ways we can contribute to their well-being.

Overall, the visit was an inspiring experience. It was heartwarming to see the dedication of the society in caring for stray animals and giving them a better life. This visit not only increased our awareness of animal welfare but also motivated us to be more compassionate and responsible toward animals.

The students of Podar International School, Hadapsar have excelled in the Abacus Exam.

Two students participated in the International Abacus Competition, which saw participation from 11 countries. Their remarkable achievements are as follows:

• Vallabh Chondhekar (Grade VII) secured the 1st position.
• M. Pranav (Grade VII) secured the 7th position.

This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and excellence in mental mathematics. Kudos to all the winners!

On 22nd January 2025, Podar International School, Hadapsar, organized a fire mock drill for the students of Prep and PIS. The session was conducted in collaboration with the Pune Fire Brigade team, who were invited to showcase the importance of fire safety measures and the necessary steps to take during emergency situations.

The firefighters provided an engaging demonstration, highlighting the use of various safety kits and explaining the functions of different types of nozzles. Students gained valuable insights into fire safety protocols and learned practical ways to respond calmly and efficiently in case of such incidents.

Respected Principal and the staff of PIS, Hadapsar deserves special appreciation for initiating and arranging this educational and safety-focused event. Their vision and proactive approach in prioritizing student safety and awareness ensured that this drill was both informative and impactful for everyone involved.

Celebrating the magic of friendships at our 2nd Annual Day – ‘Friendship Code’!

At Podar International School Hadapsar, the Grade II Jumpstart Event, What We Wear, inspired students to embrace generosity through a Clothes Donation Drive. Under the guidance of Respected Principal A.K. Singh Sir, students brought clothing items from home to contribute to an orphanage, reflecting their commitment to helping others.

Through this meaningful activity, students learned the importance of kindness, empathy, and making a positive impact on society, fostering values that extend beyond the classroom.

9. Learn how to make an application (MIT App Inventor).

PODAR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL HADAPSAR celebrated The school-wide theme 'TECH-IT-UP' which culminated with an event - 'TECH-O-MANIA', organized by the students and staff members of the school within the premises. This event showcased the changes in technology in today's times. This event focused on how technology has moved into our lives and homes. The students showed and explained how technology has changed how we live today and how it might change in future. The event gave the students an opportunity to display their understanding and knowledge of the impact of technology on our lives. The students displayed their work that is done in the classroom which were covered in the IE sessions.

The Chief Guest for the event were Mrs. Megha Raje Bhosale (HM Hadapsar) and Mr. Ruben Tambe (Admin officer Hadapsar). Parents came and enthusiastically supported and encouraged students.

Dance performance was showcased by children of grade 1 and 2 on Robotics and by students of Grade 3-6 on Mission Mangalam. The school campus was decorated by different aspects of new age technology and evolutions of technologies.
