Student events and competitions under Behaviour and Personality Development Team - 2023 The Behaviour and Personality Development Team of Podar International School, Ichalkaranji is implementing certain actions to monitor the improvement and overall involvement of the council members in the different activities, events and competitions. The School Council is the important factor in school and to improve the quality of mentorship and their presentation is essential for their betterment. International Women's Day Celebration - 2023 Podar International School, Ichalkaranji has celebrated International Women's Day. Each year, March 8 is observed as International Women's Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women from all around the world. It serves an opportunity to inspire efforts to end gender biases and discrimination and achieve gender equality. Special program was organised which included Student-Teacher group song, Students Group Dance, Teacher Speech, and all the lady staff including Teachers, House Keeping staff and Transport Staff were presented flowers to mark the importance of this day. Students performed the jungle parade, they dressed up with different kinds of Plants and Animals that they have been learning about during the Thematic Unit. It was a great learning experiment for them. They came to know the importance of animals and plants in our life. Students and Parents enjoyed the event and Parents appreciated students' performances. Our students have presented their wonderful models with the explanation and bagged multiple awards. All the winners have received certificates and trophies. National Science Day Celebration - 2023 Podar International School, Ichalkaranji has celebrated National Science Day with full enthusiasm and zeal. National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28th each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. Various competitions were conducted in school to arouse scientific knowledge among young scientists like Students group song, Best presentation of Show and Tell competition, Poster making competition, Teacher Speech, Art Gallery Inauguration etc. The day is observed to spread awareness about the importance of science and its contributions to society. The celebration of National Science Day in schools is a crucial event that helps in promoting scientific temper among students. Parivartan Drive - 2023 Students of Podar International School, Ichalkaranji has enthusiastically participated in Parivartan Drive. The theme for the year Pleat by Pleat revolves around clothing and its impact on the environment. The drive urge the students to rethink before purchasing clothes because buying too many clothes can cause a detrimental cost to the environment. The students participated in various activities and acted as agents of change. The students interacted with the people in and around their school locality. It created awareness in the form of walkathons, put-up stalls with games and reused products, and most importantly share the message through the medium of Social Media, placards and banner. Students actively participated in Walkathon and displayed their clothing materials which was prepared by the recycled clothes. Marathi Rajbhasha Din - 2023 Podar International School, Ichalkaranji has celebrated Marathi Rajbhasha Din enthusiastically across all the grades. Marathi Bhasha Diwas or Marathi Day is celebrated on February 27 every year on the birth anniversary of eminent Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar who was popularly known as 'Kusumagraj'. Chief Guest for this event- Shri. Ramesh Bhiware Sir, renowed writer. Students presented Group Song along with reciting various bhajans and shlokas, Teacher speech etc. All the students and teachers participated enthusiastically in the event with historical attire. A farewell is organized to bid goodbye and good luck to people who are leaving. It helps in conveying a message they will be missed by those they are leaving behind. Event was systematically arranged with students speech, Group song, Group Dance, Sash presentation etc. All the students were nostalgic leaving memories behind and they have promised entire staff members for giving their best results in upcoming CBSE Board Examination. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Celebration - 2023 Podar International School, Ichalkaranji has celebrated Shivaji Jayanti with full enthusiasm and zeal across all the grades. The birth anniversary of the great Maratha king Shivaji is celebrated as Shivaji Jayanti every year. The founder of the Maratha Kingdom, Shivaji born in Pune's Shivneri Fort on this day in 1630. Mainly the state of Maharashtra celebrates the birth anniversary of its one of the bravest and wise monarchs of India. Shivaji Jayanti is observed on February 19 every year in honour of the bravery and contribution of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the nation. Chhatrapati Shivaji was the founder of the Maratha Empire and one of the greatest Indian warriors of his time. Our students presented wonderful events like group dance, speech, stick fighting skills (lathi kathi) and understood the importance and valour of the great king. Abacus education improves the skills of Visualization (photographic memory), Concentration, Listening Skills, Memory, Speed, Accuracy, Creativity, Self Confidence, Self-Reliance resulting in Whole Brain Development. Abacus based Arithmetic functions, calculations thereof enhance Concentration levels.
