Podar International School, Amravati is very well acknowledged for it’s achievements gained both by the students and members of the staff. In continuation in this series the students and teachers received recognition in the Transforming Education Awards conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU). PIS Amravati participated in the third edition of the Transforming Education Awards - 2019.

For registration, selected students of the school had to shoot a video, on a teacher’s role in transforming his/her life narrating a specific incident or contribution made by that teacher. The student was supposed to upload it on LPU website. After approval of school Principal and concerned authority of LPU, video was to be aired and ready for voting. Voting was to be done by 3 ways :

• Voting through website
• Voting through SMS
• Voting through Facebook.

We feel immense pleasure to share with you that three videos were uploaded from Podar International School Amravati on LPU website and all three were shortlisted for the prize. In this context, first video was made by Ms Shrawani Dhawane (Grade – IX) on Ms Meenakshi Mishra (Vice Principal - Afternoon Shift). This video was the first runner up from Central Zone (Maharashtra, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Orissa) and awarded with 20,000/- for school, 10,000/- for teacher and 2500/- for the student. The second video was made by Master Chittatosh Inamdar and Miss Suhani Vaishnav (Grade – X) on Ms Shilpa Kathane (Math Teacher). This video also won the prize 10,000/- for teachers and 2500/- for students. Moreover, the third video was made by Master Parth Arudkar (Grade – X) on Mr. Swapnil Ranit (English Teacher). This video was also shortlisted for prize money of 10,000/- for teacher and 2500/- for student.

The initiative was greatly appreciated by authorities of LPU who appreciated the efforts taken by the Principal Mr. Sudhir Mahajan.
