We are proud to announce that Ritarko Mondal of Grade VII, Podar International School, Chinchwad, has been honored with the prestigious Balvaidnyanik title and secured a Gold Medal along with a ₹3000 scholarship at the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition.
This highly competitive event comprises multiple stages, including a written test, practical assessment, action research project, and final interview—each of which Ritarko cleared with excellence.
His project titled “Optimization of Household Freshwater Consumption for a Sustainable Environment” focused on reducing water usage and wastage through practical and sustainable methods. His thoughtful and innovative approach greatly impressed the judges.
Ritarko received the award from Dr. Madhubala Joshi Chinchalkar, the renowned “Polar Woman” of India, making this achievement even more inspiring.

Dnyanesh Gonte from Podar International School, Chinchwad has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the Gold Medal and cash prize of ₹3,000 in the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition, conducted by the Mumbai Science Teachers’ Association (MSTA).
This prestigious, multi-stage science examination is designed to identify exceptional scientific aptitude among school students across Maharashtra.
Dnyanesh earned this honour through consistent excellence across all stages of the competition, including the written test (November 2025), practical experiments (January 2026), interviews (March 2026), and action research evaluation (March 2026).
