On 2 March 2024 students of Podar International School, #Jalandhar had an enlightening visit to the "Danik Savera" printing press, where they witnessed the fascinating process of bringing words to life on paper. A truly hands-on experience that ignited their curiosity and appreciation for the art of printing

The theme "Navras - The Nine Emotions" was beautifully brought to life during the Annual Function of Podar International School, #Jalandhar. Students delivered captivating performances, ranging from the cheerful Hasya ras to the peaceful Shant ras, and from the energetic Veer ras to the compassionate Karuna ras. Republic day is celebrated every year on January 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution, which came into effect on this day in 1950. Podar International School,#Jalandhar, recently conducted a science quiz for students of Grades 1 and 2, Grades 3 to 5, and Grades 6 and 7. The objective of this quiz was to instill in the young students a sense of curiosity towards scientific exploration and foster their analytical thinking abilities

Children's Day at Podar International School was a delightful and memorable occasion filled with excitement and joy! From the casual attire to enjoying favorite foods with classmates, the atmosphere must have been lively and festive. The variety of fun games organized for students of all classes, including Bombing the City, Musical Chairs, Hit the Tin, Kick the Ball, and Tug of War, surely added to the fun-filled day. The cricket match between students and teachers must have been a highlight, with students relishing the opportunity to compete and emerge victorious. Overall, it sounds like a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and cherished memories for all the students involved.

It was wonderful and enthusiastic Diwali celebrations at Podar International School # Jalandhar. The special assembly conducted by Grade 6 students, along with the various Diwali activities organized for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7, truly showcased the spirit and significance of the festival of lights. From reciting poems to participating in Puja Thali Decoration, Card Making, Rangoli, and Diya Decoration competitions, students had the opportunity to engage in diverse cultural activities and hone their artistic skills.

Podar International School #Jalandhar had an exhilarating and memorable 2nd Annual Sports Day Event on November 4th, 2023! From the torch lighting ceremony to the various drills and track events, the day was filled with excitement and teamwork. The March Past ceremony highlighted unity and leadership skills, while the prize distribution ceremony recognized the efforts of all participating students. Mrs. Rohini Rohit Gurung, the Principal, concluded the event by congratulating the winners and acknowledging the dedication of every student involved

Gandhi Jayanti celebration is a great way to emphasize the importance of truth and nonviolence which is missing in people today. Gandhi ji's life serves as an inspiration for others to follow the path of truth and non-violence. A special assembly was conducted where students delivered speech on the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi Ji

By celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, one can gain wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, success and good fortune. Ganesh Chaturthi is also a festival that promotes social harmony and cultural diversity. It brings people together from different backgrounds, religions and regions to celebrate a common faith and culture.

Educational trips expose students to real life situations, which can help them, develop critical thinking skills and make informative decisions.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated to promote and celebrate the Hindi language and its cultural significance. On this day 1949, the Hindi Language was adopted as one of the official language of Republic India.

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm. A splendidly colorful program was organized where students recited poems, played musical instruments, sung songs and performed various dances

Teachers’ day celebration was planned by the students of Grade VII where they performed scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and hard work put in by the teachers towards their development.

Bizkid Bazar was organized by the students of Grade I-VII of Podar International School, Jalandhar where students gave their best in making beautiful and eye widening things in Manjusha Art, Lippan Art and Warli Paintings

In “Pitch it – The Clash of Advertisements “the students understood the importance of advertisements for increasing sales. Young Podarites got the opportunity to place themselves in the core strategy of the business making process that is to promote a product.

A spelling bee is a competition in which children try to spell and write words correctly. It allows children to learn the definition, pronunciation and roots of the word.Spell bee Competition helped students to improve the spelling and widen their vocabulary.

Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, and change as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Podarites salute those freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the sake of the motherland.

Democracy is a system in which laws, policies, leadership, and major undertakings are directly or indirectly decided by the “people".Podar International School, Jalandhar had organized election for choosing the members of the Student Council for the Academic Year 2023-2024.

Entrepreneurship is the ability and readiness to develop, organize and run a business enterprise. Young Podarites picked a business for their own to sustain the business development and to become Independent economically.

Podarites enjoyed the Summer camp activities with great zeal and zest and learnt new skills in a safe and nurturing environment. The activities focus on having fun while simultaneously teaching youngsters life skills, building resilience and fostering their creativity.

PIS Jalandhar celebrated Mother’s day to honor the contribution of mothers, acknowledge the efforts of maternal bond and the role of mothers in our society. Students expressed their love with utmost purity through poems and speech.

Students of Grade III to VII participated in Extempore Competition. This is the best approach to practice effective communication and time management skills.

Students of Grade I & II Participated in Show & tell activity. This activity helped Students to feel comfortable and confident while talking in front of groups or peers.
