Podar International School & Jr. College, Sangli, took learning beyond the classroom as the students of Grade XI embarked on an educational field trip to a Polymer Industry at Vita MIDC.

The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand industrial exposure, observe real-world manufacturing processes, and understand the practical applications of concepts studied in their academic curriculum.

Sakhi Savitri Committee and Student Safety Committee meetings were successfully conducted at Podar International School, Sangli with the newly elected student members.

The meeting witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the Head Girl, Head of Girls' Welfare Committee, and Head of Boys' Welfare Committee, along with other student representatives. Podar International School and Jr. College, Sangli, proudly organized a magnificent Art Exhibition on 24th January 2026, centered on the inspiring theme “Art Shapes the Future.”

The exhibition featured the remarkable and imaginative creations of Grade I students, whose artworks reflected fresh perspectives and boundless creativity.

Through a delightful array of artistic mediums, the young artists invited viewers to explore their interpretations of the world, leaving the audience truly captivated by their originality and expression.

Educational Visit to Sangli District & Sessions Court

On 23.1.2026, Podar International School & Junior College, Sangli organised an educational visit for 20 CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) aspirants, guided by Principal Mr. G. B. Patil, lecturers Ms. Rohini Jain & Ms. Ashvini Nimbalkar, and advocate Faruq Kotwal.

Students observed live civil and criminal court proceedings, explored the court library, and gained practical insights into judicial processes.

Podar International School and Jr. College Sangli organised a Tetanus-Diphtheria Vaccination Drive in coordination with Samata Nagar PHC (Primary Health Centre) for the students of Grades 5 & 6, 11 & 12.

The vaccination is part of the Government of India’s routine immunization program and aims to protect children from tetanus and diphtheria infection.

The Inter-House Competition 2025-26

“Think & Paint Philosophy Through Art” was conducted successfully for the Primary and Secondary sections. Students from all four houses Aqua, Ignis, Terra & Ventus participated enthusiastically and expressed Philosophical ideas through creative artwork.

Primary students explored themes like:

• “A Perfect Day”
• “The Magic of Sharing”

While Secondary students worked on:

• “Freedom Is…”
• “What Is Real?”

The artworks were judged on creativity, originality, clarity of ideas, and artistic expression.

The competition proved to be an enriching experience, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among students.

Overall, the House Competition was a meaningful and enriching experience that successfully blended art with thinking skills, promoting creativity, reflection, and teamwork among students.

Our students had the incredible opportunity to meet internationally acclaimed dancer Kieran Lai, whose creativity and journey truly motivated them.

From performing at the London Olympics to shining on Britain’s Got Talent, his story encouraged students to dream big and express themselves with confidence.

Podar International School, Sangli proudly hosted The KSC Youth Parliament 2025–26, organised by the Krishna Sahodaya Complex, Sangli, on 19th November 2025. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vishaldada Patil, Member of Parliament, Sangli Constituency, who encouraged students to actively participate in democratic processes and develop informed perspectives on national issues.

The Youth Parliament aims to provide students from CBSE schools across Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, and Ratnagiri districts with a dynamic platform to understand parliamentary procedures, engage in meaningful debates, and enhance their leadership and public speaking skills.

A total of 85 students from various schools participated, taking on significant roles such as:

• Prime Minister
• Leader of the Opposition
• Cabinet Ministers
• Members of Parliament

Their enthusiastic involvement brought the mock parliamentary sessions to life, showcasing their critical thinking, communication, and governance abilities.

The most outstanding performers were honoured with the prestigious ‘Sansadratna Award’, and all participants received certificates in recognition of their commendable efforts.

On 1st May 2025, Maharashtra Day and International Labor Day were celebrated in Podar International School, Sangli with great enthusiasm and respect across Maharashtra.

The day marks the formation of the state of Maharashtra in 1960, and also honors the contributions of workers across the world.

The dual celebration reminded everyone of the state's proud legacy and the vital role of workers in nation-building. It was an occasion filled with learning, patriotism, and appreciation for collective contributions.

ATL Community Day at Podar International School, Sangli

It was a wonderful celebration of innovation, creativity, and collaboration as we hosted ATL Community Day at our school!

Students, teachers, and community members came together to explore exciting STEM activities, showcase amazing projects, and spark new ideas for a better tomorrow. From hands-on workshops to inspiring exhibits, the day was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and the spirit of Tinkering and Making.

We are proud to be nurturing the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and change makers through the Atal Tinkering Lab initiative.

Team PIS, Sangli is delighted to share that for the fourth consecutive year, Podar International School, Sangli participated in 71st Harvard MUN prestigious conference held at Boston USA from 25th January 2024 to 28th January 2024. Around 4,000 students from 150 schools representing 62 nations around the world were part of this most reputed and oldest Model United Nations Conference.

A team of 12 delegates from Grade VIII to XI participated in this conference, representing countries Somalia and Palestine. We were the only school from the country to represent India. One of the delegates got an opportunity to be a part of the specialized agencies- Organization of Islamic Countries and one crisis committee. The students’ represented the committees like of UNESCO, UNICEF, FSST, UNHRC, UNDEF and deliberated on internationally concerned issues like leveraging food system Innovation for sustainable development, Educational Opportunities for Refugees, Implementation and International Governance of solar Geoengineering, Child Labor , Child marriage and Agriculture on Mars Settlement.

Delegate named , Mst.Yushit Rhoida got appreciation for his crisis solving skills in The court of Akbar and Miss Zoya Mujawar got a special mention award in the O.I.C Committee for diplomatically handling the state of Palestine. A part of delegate Ms. Eshita G. Patil's resolution was included in the final committee resolution.
