School Events at Arsikere

The Annual Sports Day, Umang was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vigor. The program featured an array of thrilling track and field events, vibrant house marches and exciting team games.

The students of grades 3 and 4 embarked on an exciting trip to Sakrebailu Elephant Camp and the Lion Safari in Shivamogga. The trip was a break from routine but also a wonderful opportunity for the students.

The day was proudly celebrated to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26th November 1949.The Preamble of the Constitution was recited collectively by the staff members reaffirming our commitment to the values of justice, liberty.

The day promised a blend of relaxation, adventure, and fun filled activities, creating unforgettable memories. students also enjoyed some leisure time, where they explored the scenic beauty and captured memorable moments.

The event culminated in a grand prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence. The event featured vibrant in-house competitions among our four houses Terra, Aqua, Ignis, and Ventus.

As a part of the event, the students of grade 3 participated in an exciting and engaging thematic session called Me on the Map. The activity aimed to help students understand their place in the world, starting from their immediate surroundings to the larger global context.

Our school marked the celebration with a heartfelt gathering. The program briefly introduced Kanaka Dasa's life contributions to his Kannada literature, and his enduring message of equality and devotion.

Children's Day was a joyous and memorable occasion filled with laughter and fun. Teachers organised a special assembly dedicated to the students, where they took center stage with a series of entertaining performances.

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride, honoring the formation of Karnataka state and embracing the rich culture, heritage and language and its vibrant heritage.

The event was held to immerse students in the theme without entering it entirely, sparking curiosity and creativity from the start. The purpose was to help[ students discover the world of patterns and shapes that surround us everyday.

The play aimed to raise awareness about the environmental impact of traditional Diwali practices and encouraged everyone to adopt more sustainable ways of celebrating the festival.

As a part of the celebration, students visited nearby neighbourhoods to distribute handmade Diwali cards and boxes of sweets, earthen diyas bringing smiles to those around them.

The atmosphere at school was lit up with joy, color and festive cheer as students and staff came together to celebrate Diwali. The event aimed to immerse students in the spirit of this cherished festival, promoting unity and cultural awareness.

The volunteer programme organised a Donation Drive, inviting students to donate toys, clothes, groceries to bring joy to children in need.

The project encouraged students to delve into their surroundings ,learning about local landmarks, community roles, and environmental awareness.

The Open House for term-1 provided a valuable opportunity for parents to meet with teachers, review student progress, and discuss academic goals for the upcoming terms.

Book Donation Drive was initiated by the enthusiastic students to share the joy of reading with others have brought the whole community together in support of this meaningful cause. Our students experienced the joy of giving firsthand, realizing the power of sharing and caring.

Eco Detectives and Fit and Fun event brought together the key learnings and activities from both initiatives in a fun, active and educational way.

The Workshop addressed the growing concern of parental burnout, offering strategies for parents to maintain emotional balance, reduce stress, and nurture their own well-being.

Valmiki Jayanthi was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm, honoring the life and legacy of Maharishi Valmiki, the revered sage and author of the epic Ramayana.

The Workshop emphasized the importance of a student centered approach, where curiosity, exploration and problem solving are at the heart of each lesson.

Parents visited the school for the First Open house of grade 1 to 7 on 13th July 2024. There was a healthy discussion about academic performance and suggestion of both parents and teachers was directed for the holistic development of students. Parents appreciated the Principal and staff for the support and guidance as they found that children are developing not only academically but also in skills and values. It was a fruitful Parent-Teacher Interaction.

On the occasion of Navratri, Dandiya Night was organized with great zeal and passion by Podar International School, Arsikere.

'Bizkids Bazar' is a show for young people covering business and finance showcasing. Once Ratan Tata said, "Business needs to go beyond the interest of their companies to the communities they serve". Podar International School #Arsikere rendered an opportunity to our young entrepreneurs to execute their business vision by conducting the culminating event " BIZKIDS BAZAAR" under the theme 'young entrepreneurs'.

Students of Grade 4 visited Perfect Roofing, Roofs and Fence manufacturing unit at Arsikere as part of our IE program "TECH-IT-UP". Students of Grade 1 and 2 visited Vadiraj Electronic stores at Arsikere as part of our IE program "TECH-IT-UP".

PIS Arsikere won 1st prize in 3D Design and printing competition at PIS Hassan.
