School Events at Washim

Podar International School, Washim conducted a Jumpstart Activity to introduce the theme “Savour, Save, Sustain – Creating a Sustainable Future for Food”.

This engaging activity aimed to create awareness and curiosity among students about sustainable food habits.

Students enthusiastically participated in interactive activities such as:

• Food starting with ‘G’ – Listing various food items
• Why eating healthy is important – Writing reasons on post-its
• My favorite food – Sharing favorite dishes

These activities helped students reflect on their food choices and understand the importance of sustainability and healthy eating.

With the thoughtful guidance of our Honorable Principal, Mrs. Arti Domkulwar ma'am, the activity was conducted smoothly and achieved its intended objectives.

Podar International School, Washim successfully conducted the Culminating Event of “Marvellous Me” for Grade 1 under the thematic unit.

In this unit, students thought out of the box and enhanced their thinking abilities.

The activity encouraged students to recognize themselves as unique individuals within their families and communities.

Students performed graceful dances based on themes such as hobbies, family, and school rules.

They dressed in colourful attire to complement their performances.

Class teachers and students joined together to motivate the young Podarites.

The little champions enjoyed the event to the fullest. It was truly an amazing experience.

Grade 3 students lit up the art room with a flurry of colour.

Our young artists explored the colour wheel by designing dazzling snowflake artworks.

From mixing primary colours to discovering new secondary and tertiary shades, this hands-on activity became a perfect blend of learning and creativity.

Every snowflake told a colourful story, proving that art makes learning unforgettable.

Thematic unit “Food Matters”, conducted under the valuable guidance of our respected Principal, Mrs. Arti Domkulwar ma'am.

To kickstart the unit, a classroom potluck was organized where students brought a variety of healthy food items and shared them with their peers.

The activity not only emphasized the importance of nutritious eating but also fostered a sense of sharing, responsibility, and cultural appreciation.

Vibrant dance performances by Grade II Lily students, a thought-provoking skit by Grade VII Rose students, and impactful speeches in Marathi, English, and Hindi filled the atmosphere with patriotism.
